| Feeding Schedule Do you have your Yorkie on a feeding schedule or do you just leave food out all the time? |

| I've always schedule-fed ZoE. I find it alot easier to potty train that way as poop times are predictable. For the first year, she would gobble food FAST whenever I gave it to her. I would have sworn I would never have been able to free-feed her. But once she got to be about a year old, she started slowing down her eating. She still eats the same amount each day, but she doesn't gobble it down like she used to. I put food down in the morning & she just munches a little on it and it's still there when I leave for work. When she gets dinner in the evening, sometimes there is still food in her bowl from the morning & sometimes there isn't.

I feed her dinner when I eat dinner and by the time I'm done eating, she's already gone potty. So, again, quick clean up and we're good for the night.

| I have a schedule but I also leave dry food down. Most of the time they don't eat the dry that is down. But every once in a while I guess they are a little more hungry. I feed in the morning about 6:00 am and again about 4:00 pm. It works for us.

| Charlie eats chicken and cheese in the am about 6 and then in the pm about 5 but there is kibble out all day in case he gets hungry. Charlie lets us know when he has to go out but when we were training him we took him out 15 minutes after he was done eating and once he went we praised him allot and brought him back inside.

| I leave food out all the time but Callie will not eat much so I also hand feed her in the morning and at night.

| I find having a schedule made Jackson a better eater. Most free-feeders I see tend to get picky and don't eat as much. Once they learn food is only down at a certain time, they learn to appreciate when it's given! When Jackson was on an RX food for about a month last summer, I was giving small amounts at certain times. Ever since... he's been a MUCH better eater! I will usually give him wet mixed with dry for his breakfast and then around 5pm, I pour the rest into his bowl just dry and he typically eats it within an hour of being put down.

| Thank you so much for all the input! I may start seeding him at 6 am and 5 pm. I believe that schedule will work best for us. |

| We schedule feet at 6:30 am and 4 pm. My two get very excited and love eating. I can't free feed because our cats will eat the food, so they get breakfast and dinner. I found it helped with potty training because you can predict when they need to go.

| I feed Kiko twice a day 6am and 6pm. She eats dry food. She gets treats (bits of baby carrot) in the middle of the day. Good luck with the potty training. |

| I used to free feed Joel but he would never eat, and now that I feed him on a schedule he eats really good. His schedule is Breakfast 8:00, Lunch 1:00, Dinner 6:00 and only if he's hungry he'll eat a little before bed at 10-11. He eats about 3/4 of a cup all day. |
