| Mine love fruit and veggies & I give it to them every evening as their dinner meal. They get kibbles in the morning and veggies/ fruit at night to keep their weights down. It fills them up

| I see tobs of people already rold you fruits and vegis are great, infact read the ingrediants on high quality noncorn containing dog foods. CARROTS are the number one treat around here we use whole raw baby carrots. We also feed raw model prey so... Also so glad others posted the toxic for dogs foods already.

I give Betty Boop apples, bananas, carrots and frozen green beans that I thaw in a microwave. In answer to you question about dogs eating pork.......When I first got Boop, I didn't know any better and I gave her some deli ham. She started having bloody diarrhea and vomiting. I immediately took her to the vet. He gave her antibiotics and it cleared it up, but she was one sick little girl. He said to never give pork to a dog. If I remember correcctly, he said it can give them pancreatitis. Bacon is very fatty.

| NO EGGSHELLS NO RAISINS NO ONIONS NO Panettone bread....none. These are very important as well as the list Tina21 did...but these foods cost my dogs much discomfort and killed my checkbook....

| Just a warning beans not green beans though just the others, broccoli and colliflower cause gass so in ssome dogs like my mini schnauzer we just avoid these specific ones. Also letus and spinach can be choking hazards. Ironically rainbow chard seems to be a nonissue and mine love ir so much they ate half of the garden row of it...joy of dogs right?

| I was feeding him 3x a day when we first got him (kibble) but after he was neutered I wanted to keep his weight down and was going to reduce his food to 2x, but he kept alerting me at noon that it was food time, so I started the "salad" thing, just whatever safe vegetation we have on hand at the time. Now, when he sees me chopping veggies for OUR dinner, he will sit patiently at my feet in hopes that I will gift him some veggies. Lol Glad to know Im not the only one who does the salad thing-everyone who hears about it (not yorkie owners) thinks that Jaeger is high maintenance. We travel to ATL and Columbia once a month, each, and when we stop and get fast food, Jaeger gets apple slices. |
