I once came home to my skin son with 10 different colors of nail polish on his fingers and a mohawk...he was 9 my life long best friend knew I would be pissed to say the least but she also knew I would forgive her...once the shock wore off I shaved the rest of his hair and removed the nail polish, not before I took pictures though!!! I know that there is nothing she wouldn't do for my kids, me, or my pets (even though she is not a pet lover)!!

| i know how you feel, but i too think she meant the best. I know as well as my friends know me they dont prob know how seriously i would take something like that. But thankfully she is still healthy and living. As much as it sucks, at least it will grow back |

| I'd be pissed too so I don't blame you. Yes obviously you trusted this person with your dog so must be someone you care about and that cares about you. But the fact that she posted it on FB and that's how you found out, and then all she said was oh sorry?! I'd have a really hard time getting over that. It's not the point that hair grows back, if it were me, that "apology" would have put me over the edge more that the act itself.

| Have to agree with linzy here....friends have NO idea how much importance that top knot (and tail hair!!) has with us and our Yorkie babies!!! Just take a deep breath and set your jaw, and smile and let her know how much you appreciate how well she has taken care of your baby...next time, we will just skip a groomer appointment....and, OH BY THE WAY....did she use YOUR groomer??? I would go THERE also, and tell HER, in the future, do NOT do any clipping or cutting or pruning unless I say so....just shampoo, set, and comb out please, thank you very much! Back to the friend...dont ruin this friendship over what in her mind was a great big wonderful surprise! You are sooooooo fortunate you have someone you can TRUST with the health and safety of your baby, in your absence! Quote:

| no she did not go to my groomer . My groomer knows all about what i want with my dog and she is the best love hear she will never cut anything unless i say it´s ok and i told my friend that if she did not have time to bath my dog or groom to take her ther for that so i don´t understand why she went to pet smart for grooming and b.t.w they did a HORRIBLE job so i have to take her to MY groomer to have it fixed wen i come home I think I have to shave her she looks so bad with shaved head and only her ear hear left |

| I think there are a lot of trust issues going on here. A "friend" does not laugh at you when you are upset. If you did not ask your friend to take your dog to the groomer then she really had no business doing it. Maybe she is not as good of a friend as you thought that she was. Have you ever discussed the topknot with her? I would not expect a friend or family member to take my dog to a different groomer, much less any groomer, without discussing it with me first. It seems a bit cruel to me to do such a thing and then laugh at you for being upset. You may want to consider who you leave your dog with in the future. This person does not respect boundaries or your feelings. I have a feeling that your "friend" had felt for a while that your dog would look better with a different look and took advantage of her time with your dog to do what she wanted. You need to get things straight with this person and consider how far you should trust her in the future. |

| Unfortunately she should have asked, but if she's a good friend, it's not worth loosing sleep over. Last summer I kept my nieces yorkie, he was a total mess when I got him. So I tried to comb him out. He was not having it. Luckly I know how they have him groomed so I took him to my groomer. All was good, and he was so much happier till he went back home. But she should have asked first. I feel for both of you. |

| arg im sorry your friend did that. i had a friend () who i love try to hold Ziggy by the scruff of his neck. ziggy yelped. i lost it, told her NOT to ever hold or treat ziggy in a way that she doesnt see me doing. if her's liked it thats fine, mine does not! Arg people like to impose their views and wants on others. Its my pet peeve!!!
