I got him!!!! He is everything and more!!! I can't believe how good he is! He does what I do, if I am up and playing, he is up and playing, if I lay down, he sleeps on me. Lastnight was the big x-pen test. it's located next to my bed. I put him in it around 9:30pm, he went right to sleep. In the morning, I saw two ocassions of poopy on his pee pad which means he left his crate to go and then went back to bed!! This morning we went for a walk (after he ate like a champ). I thought I'd try the pen in the daytime, see how he would react. He cried for all of 1 minute, and fell asleep!!! As I type this, he is in my room, in his pen, quiet as a mouse!!! I feel so blessed, and this makes me feel so much better about leaving him in there for a few hours some days Check out my avatar, isn't he something

| Congrats on Marley - he is a cutie! I got my guy at 9 weeks (I did NOT intend to get a pet, we just found each other and I had done ZERO research until after the fact). He has been in bed with us since night #2, and I believe it would be impossible to change - not that I want to, but Teresa gives great advice about getting them use to the crate for when crating is needed. We only had 1 pee accident on the bed at first, but I was getting up 2 times in the middle of the night to go outside. My only advice is - get on a schedule and he will eventually adjust to it. It's like having an infant at first, but enjoy the puppy days they sure grow up fast!

Thanks everyone. We just got back from the vet. All is well, just waiting for his poopy results. He also got a heartworm/flea/tick shot (all in one little shot). He weighed in at 1.14oz He was the star of the entire vet. People kept wanting to see him, hold him (which I was leary of,lol), he was such a ham Right now he in back in his pen, I want him to get used to being in there as much as possible. This time he cried for 2 mins (breaks my heart) but then he dozes right off. lol. he is sleep now. I am just so happy he isn't the kind of puppy who cries all the time, especially when in his pen since I do have neighbors. It seems like he was meant for me for sure. Thanks for listening, I could go on and on....I'm about to go show him off to family now later ladies.

Congratulations! Marley is a little cutie, that's for sure. I am so glad that your first night went so well, and he is being such a good puppy. Our Graysee was fairly easy to acclimate to the crate, but we left it in another bedroom at night, and she cried a little more than 1 or 2 minutes. I know, it just tugs at your heart to hear that tiny cry. I would go in to her room so much to check on her, that at times I just laid down on the floor next to the crate to comfort her, and wound up right there in the morning. Of course, now she sleeps in bed with me, and can't seem to get close enough! She'll plop down next to me, and then "scooch" herself over so she's right up against me, before she'll go to sleep. I know you'll have many happy years with your little Marley; enjoy!

Congrats on the new little one. In my opinion these dogs are addictive once I got My little Billy I never want another breed. I had other small breads before but I thought these are the most beautiful dogs They have a rep for being stubborn and hard to train and that's totaly not the case at all. They are ver smart actually. My Lizzie will go get what ever toy I tell her when we play. I am working on that now with the baby These dogs will give you so much love in return for yours. They do have their moments like all kids do. I could seriously write you a small book on them. If you do let your little one sleep with you they will be there every night waiting with their little tail wagging and their little ears perked up waiting to snuggle up with you
