| Omgosh Ozzy is a doll baby. He looks like a Yorkie to me. If you are concerned try the DNA test. Trust me when I say this.....it's not always "cute" to have a 4lb dog. Georgie has been through so much and after 6 years I still worry all the time. He's our baby but with the small ones there is a lot more cause for concern IMO. PS Keep posting pics of Ozzy he has such a sweet face and we all love pictures

| He looks like a purebred yorkie to me! He is adorable!! He can definitely end up being much larger than his parents, it happens quite a bit. I've seen a yorkie that came from a 6lb mom and a 4lb dad turn out to be 20lbs! |

| I am not an expert but he looks all yorkie to me. Maybe the vet was a little put off by his weight. I read a little history behind yorkies and I discovered that the original yorkies were actually largest than today's yorkies. By the way, welcome to YT! But the cat vaccines would be a red flag to me and I would be thinking the breeder may not be so very honest. There's nothing wrong with a mixed breed but the breeder should have been honest . I would be concerned if I was charged for a full breed if he is not. |

| I have two Yorkies that turned out to be much larger than their dam and sire. Genetic throwbacks, larger size does not mean they are mixes at all. I think your pup is a cutie and he looks all Yorkie to me.

| PLEASE, do not jump to conclusions from a statement from your vet! You can have a Yorkie that is just going to be a big Yorkie! I just went thru this with a man I sold a Yorkie to...his VET "told" him he had been sold a Silky Terrier, because in HIS opinion, the dog looked like a Silky!!! The female he bought is a beautiful female that comes from 18 generations of Ch and GrCh Yorkies, on both sides! What I think ACTUALLY happened was the receptionist made a typo on the spay receipt, and when the parents got home, they saw Silky Terrier typed on the "breed" line, ASSUMED that was what the vet was calling the dog, and they emailed me with that ridiculous assumption! I sell all my babies on a spay/neuter contract, and send the owners the registration papers when they spay the dog and I am provided proof of spay... they saw all the registration papers and both parents registration papers, as well as a pedigree on the pup when they purchased the baby.......my lawyer said to send the papers when they provide a copy of the spay papers on the dog I sold them, NOT on a Silky as the receipt stated. I contacted the owner, he would receive the papers when I received spay papers on the dog I sold them, NOT on a Silky....also contacted the vet....have heard NOTHING from either of them. YOU BE VERY CAREFUL ACCUSING A BREEDER OF DOING WHAT YOU ARE ACCUSING HER OF DOING....YOU CAN FIND YOURSELF IN A TON OF LEGAL PROBLEMS, AS YOU DEFAMING HER BUSINESS AS WELL AS HER REPUTATION. YOU BE CERTAIN BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT, THAT WHAT YOU ARE ACCUSING HER OF, IS CORRECT. IT IS WORTH EVERY DIME I SPEND ON THIS SITUATION I AM IN....MY ETHICS AND INTEGRITY AND MY NAME ARE PRICELESS TO ME. |

| ".......I know that Yorkies can be different sizes, but as my vet pointed out, then Ozzy should not be much heavier than his heaviest parent, but he has reached this weight already in first 4 month which suggests the mixing issue." ........... He is soooooo wrong with this statement! Be very cautious going after a breeder on an assumption like this!!! You will lose!!! |

| I would have the DNA test done just to be sure. However, he looks all yorkie to me. yorkies use to be quite large 'someone correct me here' but I believe they use to be in the 20 lbs and up before people started breeding them for smalls. With that said sometimes there will be a throw back to the yorkies in there past family tree. BTW he is 100% adorable

| Thank you very much you all for your responses! You have really made this day better! Well, my assumption was that the vet is always correct – but as I can see then some of you have experienced that vets are not always correct, which at this point are really good news to me! I have as well heard that you cannot always evaluate after parents size, how big your yorkie will grow up, but I somehow assumed that this is for others not in my case and then vet... But it seems that my Ozzy has decided otherwise. I totally agree that I should be 100% sure before I make a case against the breeder, so I will not start anything before we have some DNA test results. Although Chachi I have as well read that Wisdom tests are not always correct… So I think we will wait for couple of month and see how it goes with growing and if there are some signs which make us more doubtful and then check him. And keep eye on the breeder as well… About the cat vaccine – well this is not very good for the dog, but Ozzy has seemed fine all the time so it has not affected him hopefully in any matter (as made him maybe bigger ). The only thing is that we have to have missing vaccine now and have to do several at the time. Ozzy was not so happy about it.:/ Of course, the most important is that Ozzy is a healthy and happy puppy! And he is and he is the sweetest I have ever known! And thank you for encouragement that he looks like a real Yorkie! This is my first yorkie so I have nothing to compare with as only to that I read in here and in net… So thank you all once again! And we will definitely put new pictures here! Ozzy has very pretty big eyes and he looks really funny when he is up to playtime…the only thing is that it is very difficult to take a picture of him! |
