| From what I have seen of dogs that are part Yorkie it appears that some can look like a Yorkie as a puppy but as they get older they tend to change in appearance. Your puppy looks like a Yorkie but time will tell. DNA testing is a quicker way to find out for sure. I am always suspicious when someone says that the breeder did not at least have the Mom there to see. You puppy is quite young so the mom should have been there. |

| She looks all yorkie to me. I picked up my girl thinking she was a purebred yorkie...but she isn't. After much research we are pretty sure shes a morkie. (yorkie/maltese) We dont care cuz we love her so very much. |

| Yorkies come in all shapes and sizes and colors Unless you are buying a dog for show, just love what you chose. They love you back unconditionally and they are such fun and so loving and devoted. |

| Another is this a Yorkie ?, We see this almost every day. Your pup looks like a Yorkie puppy. But, the only way to know for sure is a DNA test. She sure is cute.

| She's lovely, and looks 100% yorkie. Her ears are what our Gypsy's are doing right now. I'm waiting till she stops teething a bit to see if they will come back up. If not, I'll be taping them again.

| I feel a little bad for people who are new here and post this question because sometimes they feel attacked by the answers. I myself knew absolutely nothing about yorkies or for that matter puppy mills etc until I got Laddy and found this website. I feel maybe that is the case with a lot of these posters. I am sure they love their babies no matter what but after all our babies don't come really cheap and noone likes to feel they have been duped. Since our little ones do come in all shapes sizes colors etc I can see where some would question this.

| The only way to know for sure is to do a breed identification test. Mars has a very good reputation (I think the best right now) and AKC endorses them. I'm guessing your dog didn't come with AKC papers, or you could also ask if the parents had DNA banking done on them and asked for a comparison. In my opinion she does look very Yorkie.

| Yes I understand this question might get repetitive and I apologize, she's my first yorkie and I'm just getting to know about them now. Regardless if she's purebred or not I love her to pieces, I just wanted to have an idea. You guys have all helped me out, I don't think I'll be doing a DNA test I just wanted to see based on the pictures if she was purebred. At least I know for next time to get papers and to do my research. |

| I have papers for Copper...but they don't make any difference. I'm not going to breed him. He is my little buddy and papers have nothing to do with how much I love him! Don't worry about the paper thing. I love having a yorkie. He is the best dog I've ever owned. If I bought another yorkie, (Hopefully someday) I wouldn't care if he was papered or not. Best wishes to you with your puppy.

| There are so many people out there taking advantage of the public by selling pups that are being misrepresented by the seller. People have every right to question when they think they have been duped. There is someone else that was here on YT recently that was sold a puppy that never developed long hair! It's just very sad that there are so many people and animals being taken advantage of in this way. The OP is very welcome to post the question. No one is attacking her. I think people are disturbed by the fact that a situation even exists that makes it necessary for the question to have to be asked at all. It seems that everyday we see a situation that involves puppy mills, backyard breeders, and/or sick or questionable puppies. It is so sad for everyone that is touched by the depravity of this industry. |
