This stuff isn't taught in school, and I didn't know any of it before I found Yorkietalk. I hadn't bought my dog yet, so YorkieTalk really helped me find a great breeder. I honestly could care less if my dog is a purebred, however, I did want a dog that looked and behaved like a Yorkie, and I especially wanted a dog that was healthy. So the best way to do this is to find a good breeder who knows what she's is doing and registers her dogs with a reputable registry. I really think most people fall in love with their puppies so fast, and then all they care about is, "Is it healthy." Hope your little Gabby is very healthy.
