| When I washed the kids stuffed animals I used a mesh bag or a pillowcase. I liked the mesh a little better because the detergent (I used dreft for babies or woolite) could permeate the mesh better than the pillowcase, but both will work just fine if you don't own a mesh bag already.

| I've always washed the toys in the washer and also put them in the dryer, never had any problems.

| i've always just thrown mine in the washer too. and dryer. Never had any problems. I usually try to "squeak" them when taking them out of the washer to get the water out. but most of the time when I wash toys it ends up being on an "accident" because they will hide the toys in the piles of dirty clothes when I am doing laundry. Or if I feel like a toy needs washing I will put it in a pile, but they aren't really messy with their toys so they don't NEED to be washed too often.

YT 1000 Club Member | I wash Romeo's stuffed toys with his towels and blanket and then toss in dryer. They come out nice and warm (yes, even the squeaky toys go in the dryer).

| I just throw them in with the towels, both for wash and dry. Mrs. Beasley takes them outside and sometimes Molly the Bloodhound gets a hold of them. Grungy and soaked with slobber.

| Small stuffed toys I guess I just never thought about drying them in the dryer. Living in Fl. I just hang the stuffed toys, on the clothes line in the sun shine. My sister in Ohio said she drys her doggy toys in the dryer.

| I wash the toys in a mesh bag & air dry it, never had a problem w/them smelling funky. I squeak the squeaker to let any water out that may have went inside the squeaker. I only wash the ones Momo drooled on & does the 'mine mine mine' licks on lolll.

| So I went to Walmart and purchased a mesh bag. I washed toys and then did an extra rinse cycle. Finally dried them on extra low. And wahoo! Most of them look brand new! Thanks everyone!

| I just pitch them into the wash. The first stuffed squeaky toy I washed I didn't know I had washed until it fell out of the dryer. lol I have a front loader, which uses minimal water, but I don't know that it matters. The toy was new and clean when it got accidentally mixed into bedding somehow and plunked into the washer. It came out perfect, tho. Don't know if that helps.

| I maybe should'a mentioned I don't use commercial laundry detergents or fabric softeners...I wouldn't want my babies 'eating' that stuff by chewing on a toy. I use borax (hard water), washing soda, and laundry soap, and stuff like vinegar and sometimes a little bleach when needed...which clean things rather nicely, even if I do have to put up with a little static clean at times.
