How do you wash toys? Before Mikki came into our lives, washing toys really wasn't an issue. Rosie is the girly girl. She would play with toys but they never really got "dirty". Now that Mikki is here, we have a little toy problem. Mikki always has one of the stuffed toys close by. She will drag them outside with her and everything. Needless to say, some are "dirty". How do you wash stuffed toys with and without squeakers?? |
I haven't really had to wash toys either..but Bogie has a few that really need it. I wonder if those mesh bags for washing delicate items would work and wash on the gentle cycle? I can't wait to see how others do theirs. |
I toss the toys in the washer with the doggy bedding and towels. Most come out fine. I don't dry them in the dryer though. |

The mesh bag is a good idea. One of my Boxers got a hold of one of Max's toys and needless to say there was yucky slobber and dirt all over it. I washed it in the sink with dawn soap. When it dried, it smelled like a soured old sock  so I tossed it. Toys are not cheap either. I am curious to see what everyone says |

I wash everything once a week. When Corky gets his bath. |

That is what I was thinking a mess bag or even a tied pillow case? And I have an air dry cycle on my dryer. Wonder if that would work? Or even low? |

Thanks! |
We have had to wash a few that Callie took out to sun with her and we just throw them in the washer and use less detergent then we would for our clothes and do an extra rinse. |
I haven't had any trouble washing Joey's toys in the washer and I don't even put them in a mesh bag, although that is always gentler. I put them in the dryer also and they come out looking like new. These are just the regular stuffed toys you find at Target and Petsmart. |
I don't buy any toys that aren't dishwasher or washing machine safe! On occasion I have hand washed a few "special" toys! |
I put all the toys in a pillow case and wash them in the machine.. same thing in the dryer. hugs, |
I toss the stuffed toys in the washer and dryer. I have put Kiko's bad cuz toy in the dishwasher after it got really yucky at the dog park. I usually just was the rubber/plastic toys with a little Dawn in the sink. |
