| ![]() I'm really sorry for you lost. I know what you are going through. I lost one of my yorkie quite suddenly 3 months ago. I still miss her a lot and to still cry when I think about her. Her lost left a big hole in my heart. However, I have one of her puppy and everytime I look and him I tell myself that part of her is still alive within him and she is still with me. I hope you see the same in Rio's puppies and be comforted that part of her is still with you. |

| ![]() I am so sad for you in the loss of your Rio. But how wonderful that the other Mama dog was willilng and able to feed her pups! My daughter has one, Ginger, who would feed any babies, I know. But Cujo will only feed her own, and sometimes she lets Ginger take over the job! I'm glad you will be keeping us informed of the babies growth. As the others have said, don't blame yourself. It is something that happens, and only God knows why. |

| ![]() I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved little girl. The circumstances are so sad. You did everything you knew to do, please don't blame yourself. Grief is a very hard thing and you are going to feel this for quite a while. I lost my beautiful Ginger this summer after 15 years. It was because of something I did. I let her swim in a stagnant pond on a sandbar on the river. She took in some water as did my new pup. They both got Giardia the pup made it Ginger couldn't. I still feel horrible and miss her SOOOO very much. I know she had a good life. Now she is in heaven with our daughter that loved her so very much too. ![]() |

| ![]() my heart goes out to you at this time. I am sorry for your lost. I lost one of chi chi's a month a go and it is like a big open hole in my heart. I catch my self still looking for him waiting for him to run to the door to meet me when I come in from work. Today is his birthday he would of been 5 years today. I just laid in the bed and didn't want to lift my head off my pillow. Hang in there God will watch over those pups and keep them safe. God bless.

| ![]() I'm so sorry to read this sad news on the loss of your precious little Rio. My heart aches for you and the grief you are going through. It seems when a tragedy hits near the holidays, it's even harder to take. I'll be thinking of you and praying that all those puppies do well! |

It's not gotten any easier. By no means. I've just had to go on with my daily life and take care of my little sweeties she left behind. They are all doing great, and i'm so relieved. Keep a check for the thread entitled "the legacy of rio" as I am going to post them and tell all about them as they grow. Thanks for your kind words. Every single one helps me get stronger. | |
