Not necessarily. It would depends on how many teeth are retained and where they are retained, for that your vet can guide you, if what actual retained baby teeth could wait until he/she was a yr old.

I was actually just contacted by Deb Sillers from Amazing Yorkies stating she has an 8 month old Champion sired female available! She seems very reputable to me.

Deb is great. I have seen a couple of her babies and also seen them in the show ring. They are beautiful.

I just want the puppy to be able to adapt as it gets older, but I feel like 8 months old is still pretty young. Are there benefits of getting an 8 month old over a puppy? I would still have to get the dog shipped if I decided to go with Deb Sillers.

I am just basing this off my opinion. They are almost thru the puppy stage and you almost certainly know what you getting personality wise. But that would have to be your discission.

If you go into the Showing Forums you can see some of her's that are being shown now. They are absolutely beautiful.

My little Tibbe was 9 mos. old when I got him and he turned out to be the perfect pet.

Or fly to get him. Flights are cheap and he could fly with you
