that is just the thing , everyone has their own opinion but he your puppy and you do what you think is best .

No need for the sarcasm. This forum is all about learning , education & the Love of our dogs. It is not a matter of opinion, it is a matter of fact due to education & studies. No one is bashing you or your pup & we are all wishing you well. It does not matter how long a breeder has been breeding it matters what they are willing to learn in those years & unfortunately too many these days are still old school even though it has been proven what is in reality best for the pup. We try to teach & educate new puppy owners so they can be prepared for ramification you may be faced with due to a neglectful, BYB or greeder is all. Please do not take offense as we are only trying to educate & share info, stick around as you can & will learn lots of good info here.

I didn't mean to be sarcastic, my personality is a bit gruff sometimes. I think that comes from spending too much time alone. I really appreciate all of the input I have received, that's why I came here. I look at this group as the experts and I am still learning. I had a Yorkie once but I know I made mistakes and I don't want to repeat them.

Congrats I know you are soooo excited. I was so ansy before Georgie came home

Keep Nurtical/Karo syrup on hand so if he doesn't eat much you can give him some to keep sugar up. Good luck and please post pics

ha....I got my ZoE at 6 weeks old (which I would personally choose to do again!)

Certainly hoping early separation has absolutely NO effect on your baby! We have ALL been right where you are, and the excitement of bringing home a new family member NEVER diminishes! But if you should run into problems with your baby, please do not hesitate to come here for suggestions, tips, or in many instances, good solid, sound knowledgable advice from people that have been actively involved with Yorkies 30 years or more. Remember, everything that is said, is said out of a devotion and insurmountable adoration of this wonderful breed and all Yorkies everywhere, including YOURS!!!!!

Well you can be sarcastic if you like but I was just trying to inform you what is best for the pup and that you may have a harder time with some stuff. It also may mean the breeder didn't health test and make sure her dogs are free of LP which would really suck for you. But whatever most people have to live and learn it to get it but hopefully you will be lucky.

Yes maybe they do but the YTCA and studies show puppies do better at 12 weeks. Breeders who do not do what is best for there puppies or follow the YTCA might not have done health testing, might not care about the pups and just want money, and might even be a pup mill. It can set good breeders from bad breeders and we all know the problems that can come with bad breeders.
