| YTCA can set their standards as they wish but if a breeder wants to win in the ring they had better be within the AKC standard. Each breed has their own clubs but when they are in an AKC sanctioned show they have to abide by AKC standards. I don't think YTCA is encouraging tiny dogs by not having a minimum weight but are more engaged in other descriptions of the breed. 20 years ago I doubt anyone imagined that a "teacup" rage would break out in the toy breed category. |

| The shows are AKC run shows. The judges are paid by the AKC and judge according to the AkC standards. If judging was done according to all the individual breed club standards then the breed clubs would have to be doing their own shows with their own judges. It doesn't work that way. |

| These scams are a dime a dozen. From puppies to lotto winning to furniture movers to a relative who cant reach you. I always only pay with paypal or my insured MasterCard when paying online, period. If its rushed it fake too good to be true fake talks so fast in bad spelling you spend more time decoding than reading... Sad fact these scams are orcastrated not onky by scum balls but I violent criminal enterprises like tye Mexican Mob and they make millions and millions. The biggest scams are the ones that cost you less than $20...why because most people NEVER report it! They figure what the heck too much effort...well $20 times thousands of people...over and over...

| Toy Group; AKC recognized in 1885. Ranging in size from 4 to 7 pounds. Companion, ratter I worked with my family showing dogs for many years. Breed clubs may sponsor shows but the shows are AKC run by AKC rules. A dog in the ring that is below the recommended size would be ignored if not disqualified. It would be a waste of time for a breeder to put the time and money into showing an undersized animal because the reason for showing these animals is to use them to continue the line. No one is going to show up at an AKC sanctioned show with a dog with disqualifying features. The clubs do set their standards but each dog is in a category. The Yorkshire Terrier is in the toy group as 4 to 7 lbs. Those guidelines are strictly enforced. Dogs that do not fall within those guidelines (larger or smaller) will be wasting their time and could be disqualified. |

| Am so glad you recognized this. I had this happen to but my broken hearted seller was in Africa with 2 twelve week olds. One male, one female and they were missionaries and it was too hot for the puppies. I offered to come to Africa, help with the mission then bring the babies back with me. Obviously they disappeared. To sniff out scammers, I offer to travel to them. I had one in Ohio that went along up until I asked for hotels near the airport that are pet friendly so my hubby and I can stay the weekend to not stress the puppy. Ha Ha SCAMMERS SUCK!

Breeder many times produce dogs above or below these standards but they will not appear in the ring and rarely will be used for breeding. | |

| A yorkie being over 7 lbs is just considered a fault, just like a bad front, rear, topline, ear set, etc. The truth is that there are some top winning yorkies that are in the 7 to 9 lbs range. Most of the top winning yorkies are the larger ones. The smaller yorkies that are under 5 lbs don't normally do well as group winning dogs. For me I would much prefer a yorkie that is a little over 7 lbs and very sound in body than a smaller yorkie that has poor structure.
