Yes, just above the standard it states that the Yorkshire is entered into the toy group for exhibition at 4 to 7 lbs. These limitations are not taking lightly in the ring. Every breed is entered into a specific category with specific guidelines. While it is not the official breed standard it is closely enforced in the ring.
Breeder many times produce dogs above or below these standards but they will not appear in the ring and rarely will be used for breeding.
