| Congratulations!! He is so beautiful, I am THRILLED he is home with you now...he will be in a loving forever home... Potty training will get better. I am in the same boat as you are. My Scarlett is just about the same age, born in October. I am still in the process of potty training her, she is being pad trained. Everytime she goes on her pad, she gets a cheerio. I don't know if that is good or not, but it is working for us now. I am also thinking about tethering her to me in the daytime....I am really happy he is home now, I know how excited you are!!

| Last night I put him in the crate in the kitchen with the lights off and he whined a little then stopped and went to sleep. When he was taken outside for potty he went!!! and no potty on his crate!!! He is laying in bed with me now. I think I'm going to try potty pad training. Thanks everyone for your help!

| YAY for Julian, it will take some time for you and he to get the routine but you will find it. I remember the first day I had Sophie Kate, I felt overwhelmed and was sure I would never get anything right. It takes time and remember you have a ton of supporters on YorkieTalk who want Julian and you to be happy. Good job on the first day, I am thrilled Julian is with you and is loved.

It does sound like he is at least mostly potty trained but being in a new place he will have accidents for a bit. I do like to pad & outside train so if I need to be away for a long day then they don't have to hold it & risk UTI & it's good for those too cold out days as well. I would give him another night or 2 & if no accidents at night then if you want him to sleep with you, you could give it a try. | |
