Check out Ross as they still have some nice coats & Petco is having a good sale on theirs rite now. Glad you had success with the outside potty & sleeping in the crate. I don't think it will take him long to figure out the rules & I'm sure he will be pretty eager to please the more he gets to know you & figures out that you are going to treat him rite.
It does sound like he is at least mostly potty trained but being in a new place he will have accidents for a bit. I do like to pad & outside train so if I need to be away for a long day then they don't have to hold it & risk UTI & it's good for those too cold out days as well. I would give him another night or 2 & if no accidents at night then if you want him to sleep with you, you could give it a try.
