| ![]() Just wanted to add...be VERY careful about switching his food. It may not be what you would prefer him to eat, but he IS eating. For a pup not even 6 weeks old yet, weighing only 1 lb it would not take much for him to get really sick if he stops eating.

| ![]() I just hope you will not leave the puppy alone for the next month or so. He is too young to be on his own and should be sleeping with his mom and littler mates. He needs to be fed small amounts frequently. Esbilac is a puppy formula you can buy at most pet supply stores. There are other brands available. He still needs mother's milk. The formula will help him get nutrition he needs. I suppose you found this pup by from an ad in a paper or the internet. That is a good indication that you are dealing with a back yard breeder or puppy mill. These people know how to con the public. Please inform people you know not to buy animals from these people. |

| ![]() Definitely dont change food right now you need to keep this pup eating whatever he will eat also food changes can cause stomach upsets and need to bed done gradually when you do them. I wouldnt try to change a food untill your pup gets around 12 weeks. Then he is on his way and past the real fragile stage

Hubby says he is curled up sleeping in his crate, with door open right now, played and ate well this morning a few times already...and peed and pooed already for me twice this morning before work.

| ![]() Be sure when you go to the vet to take a stool sample as these little ones need to be checked for coccidia and other issues. ![]()

| ![]() Please get this little one checked out by a vet asap. Be sure to discuss with that vet what milk replacement needs to be given and how much. Your best bet is to be discussing care options with a vet you trust. Be sure to have a ER vet number and location on stand by as well. Good luck and keep us posted.
