I can't tell you all how much your prayers mean to my family and I. My husband asked that I tell all of you thank you for him, so, thank you all, from my husband. Horrible, rotten, very hard day today. Every day that passes is harder and harder. Can't stop cryin, my head hurts so bad and I just want to puke.... God please help me, my heart has never been so shattered in my life....

so sorry, I know the pain exactly , when I lost my first silky I thought it was the end of the world, then my mom told me that he would be very sad in heaven if he saw me crying every day and sad, that he would be SO happy if I went and got another puppy and give him the love I gave him for 15 years, Brownie is in a lil spot in my heart, his ashes are on top of the mantle, I LOVE, LOVE him, and one day we will see each other again right now he is happy that I am happy, breeding and going on, you should know this too.. I know the pain is unberable at times, but Dottie will not want to see you like this.. she is running happy without pain or infection , one day you two will be together again..

Just reading your posts brings back my own memories of loss. It is going to be a difficult couple of weeks but remember that you cannot linger in the past. You cannot change the past. Don't beat yourself up or think about what you should have done differently. It's the past now and you cannot change it no matter how badly you feel about it.

She is not suffering now and although this was sudden I'm sure you gave her a very good life and she appreciated every second of it. I think she would be sad if she knew how awful you are feeling now. You have to have time to mourn your loss. Just don't beat yourself up about this. Sometimes circumstances seem to line up against us and we have no control over them.

We all have to keep moving forward or we will be stuck in a pit of regret and despair. I can start to cry just by looking at pictures of my past pets but I can't let myself stay there. Our pets are so smart in that they live for today. Your other pets must be a great comfort to you. I'm glad you have a supportive husband there for you,too.

Thank you for your suggestions and kind words. I'm trying as hard as I can to move forward and keep it together, but failing miserably. My heart literally hurts so bad, I'm just sick. Watching Elijah sit in front of her kennel everyday waiting for her to come back is hell. Gracie tries to distract him and get him movin, but he's not into it, his heart is just not into it. We rescued Dottie from a kill shelter when she was 2 years old, we actually went to see a boxer, but by the grace of God, we came home with Dottie. She only had 15 more minutes left when we got there, they were going to euthanize her. She was the most loyal, faithful and loving daughter in the world to me and my heart just hurts so badly. The last years I've had with her have been the best years of my life. I'm not me without her and nothing in this world is ever gonna fill this huge hole that's in my heart....

Sorry for your lost. Nothing we all could say right now can heal your pain. While there's love, there's pain. Tie is a good healer, take one day at a time and eventually you look back and can think of all the good memories you both have shared. Nothing in this world can fill the holes our beloved pets left. We just learn how to cope and live with the holes in our heart.
