| First grooming and nails When did you first get your puppy groomed? Charlie will be 17 weeks Monday and hasn't yet. I like his puffy/wavy hair and think that once his ears are trimmed they won't be floppy anymore. Floppy is cute! His belly is getting wet though...ick. He will be getting his nails cut Tuesday. They are sharp and I can hear them when he walks. The vet was going to charge $15 for that. May see what groomers charge first. |

| Gracie didn't go to the groomer until she was almost 6 months old. Some dogs should go sooner just to get them accustomed to being at a strange place having strange people handle them. Maybe just a little trim at first. I did Gracie's face and feet myself for the first few months and I still do a lot of her grooming. When she needs her body and lower face length evened out I take her to the groomer because I'm not good at that. |
