| I'm really sorry to hear about your puppy. Perhaps you can let the breeder know about the Arkansas Puppy Lemon Law? Arkansas Pet Lemon Law "The law does not provide for replacement of the dog or for a refund of hte purchase price. It does provide for reimbursement of veterinary expenses up to the purchase price of the dog."

YT 2000 Club Member | I'm so sorry to hear your lil one is going through this, I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers and pray God sends a miracle your way. I know it's got to be so hard to read others posting to surrender her to a rescue who can help her, I couldn't imagine ever doing that with any of ours. I'd sell my own blood if I had to/to get our furbabies the help they needed. Is there a friend or family member that would perhaps lend you the money and let you pay it back? Are there any vets in your area that will let you make payments? Income tax refunds are going to be coming in, perhaps you'll get enough back from that to pay for the surgery?

| Why LS surgery via Davis? They offer payment plans & are very flexible with payment options. What vet did you see? Sorry to jump with questions I've just had experience there so I'm thinking working this backwards with you might help. Otherwise it looks like you got a great link above!

| First off we are very sorry about your Yorkie. You've gotten some great advice from some great people, but I'm just going to jump in and say I smell something stinky. If you think you came here looking for donations you've come to the wrong location. Sorry. Ask your friends, family, or townspeople for help with money. Good luck.

| I know it would be very hard for you to do but I think the best thing you can do for the pup is surrender it to a rescue. If you give her back to the breeder she may just have her put to sleep. I know it is hard but please consider whats best for the pup. A resccue would pay for her surgery and she would live a long healthy life

| I agree with everyone that I pray you will find a way to provide the Vet care that your little one requires. As I indicated before - IF you are unable to do so - then surrendering to a reputable rescue would be the kindest thing to do.

| I am disabled, so I'm unable to get a second job. I do have CareCredit, however I have already used up to the max on it. I have already spent quite a bit on her already. I tried to creat a donation page, but I don't know how to use it to get the word out. I am on the computer or phone all day, trying to find help for Bridgett. I'm so tired, but I'm not going to give up on her. She looks at me to help her. So I will, somehow. Thank you for relpying and for your concern. seetyorkie |

| Thank You! I sent them a message, and just got their reply. They said they can not help with any other dogs because they have enough of their own that need a lot of veterinay care. |

| Lemon law Here in NJ there is a Puppy Lemon Law. It pretty much gives 6 months protection where the seller has to reimburse for vet bills, or let you return the pet. You should check the state you bought her in and your state. I don't know which would apply. At any rate, send a certified letter to your breeder stating the bills etc. This should give you time to continue investigating your rights. My son's friend used the law and got bills paid when her puppy was diagnosed with mega-esophagus. Try googling it and check with animal welfare or some state agency..(you're likely limited to recover the cost of the puppy) Last edited by maggiefromnj; 01-24-2012 at 09:53 AM. Reason: more info |

| Thank all of you so much for your thoughts and prayers, and such kind words! I will get help for Bridgett somehow. I've been on the computer and phone for days now. I do have CareCredit but I've already used it up on her. I'm disabled, so I don't have much of a savings. Today, I'm going to contact the breeders again, and also call US Davis again. I really dread calling the breeder, because last time I talked to him, he denied ever having any problems, and would not own up to his responsibilities. He was very rude to me, and hung up. The thing is, you don't ever really know how someone is, until it's too late. It's obvious they just care about the money and not the puppy. I will post back after I make my calls today. Thank all of you for caring. |
