I teach food production and I do a unit on corn(it is even used to feed fish) ..Gmo .. Organic farming etc. I am not a vegetarian, but I do have a problem with the treatment of animals. Like I said the video food inc really changed me. I was interested to see the restaurant chipolite grill is organic and green. I will look for the link.

| Some people get annoyed with me when I get on my soap box about the pet food industry but the human food industry is just as bad. Our meats are full of hormones, antibiotics and steroids. Vegetables and fruits have been genetically engineered to be resistant to bugs and so they all fit neatly into the same sized plastic bag. Our farm land has had the natural nutrients sapped out of it. No wonder people are so far from healthy. As long as all our food can be transported for thousands of miles and then sit on a shelf for untold months the food industry is happy. |
