![]() I had ordered the 5/16" inch bands based on the website's 'what band to use for what' notes, and then I found myself wrapping 4-5 times so they don't just slip out with the first head shake. ![]() Quote:
I haven't done two little top knots, but I think it is so cute on the Malties! Brody's hair is pretty thin so I don't know how well it would work...I think there'd be about 12 hairs on each side. ![]() By "from the break in her nose up" do you mean the from the "stop" (I think it's called)...where the forehead meets the muzzle at the inner corners of the eyes, or from where the muzzle hair starts growing right behind the nose? I am curious because Brody's muzzle hair seems to grow from his little black nose back between his eyes toward his top knot instead of out to each side, creating a part in the muzzle hair like Mia's hair. I even toyed with pulling that hair straight back and up into the top knot, but wondered how dumb...and ignorant on my part... ...it would look to do that, and whether it would impair his vision or peripheral range. It is still too short to try it, though. All I want is for him to be able to see, and for everybody else to see that he has "eyes" in there somewhere. ![]() I will also check out The Missing Link natural food supplement. I am a big fan of clean, organic, and natural products.

| I had tried the 5/16 band also and they were just too big. As I said Gracie's hair is very fine and silky and with the 5/16 length I did have to wrap too many times and she didn't like that at all. With the 3/8" I only have to wrap twice but sometimes i will go around 3 times. Don't have to though. I didn't like doing the two top knots on her but had to because it was easier to keep those shorter hairs out of her eyes. I don't know about that groomer. I stood right there and told her I had been letting it grow and not to touch it. When I picked her up it was obviously messed up. Yes, it is what you call the "stop" of the nose. Right about where the inner corner of the eye is. Gracie's fur on top of her nose grows funny. Kind of like a cowlick. So I trim the very top of her nose about 1/8" wide. You don't notice it until it starts to grow out. With doing that the rest of the fur on her muzzle goes down and stays out of the way. |

| Thank you for the tip on the scrunchies. I got the tiny ones at walmart today and they work fabulous. I have one you put anything in her hair and she scratches it out it has been an hour now and has not touched it. These are the greatest things I have found thanks to Yorkie Talk. | I am still looking for the tiny scrunchies. So far, the Family Dollar I went to (who allowed my Yorkies in the store...Yay!) nor Kmart have them. They have the knit kind only. Still have plenty of other places to check, but yesterday I noticed something amazing and I thought I should mention it since I am not the only one waiting for this particular event. So here goes... It looks Brody's muzzle hair is starting to lay down ! No kidding ! It only took 7-9 months to grow long enough to start laying over! (Whew! I hope... )I was afraid to believe it last night, but it looked like a little "V" (maybe a 30-40 degree angle) on top of and just behind his nose instead of being a flat 'wall' straight back and up, and I was afraid I was just seeing things. But tonight, it seems to be laying out to the sides even more (about 70-80 degrees) instead of growing straight back from his nose toward the top of his head. I do not have a photo yet, and I still need to make sure that it is not just a fluke. They get baths in a minute, and I get to puppy sit my friend's Shih Tzu starting tomorrow night for the weekend, Yay!, so some other things may have to wait...like ordering the top knot gel and searching for tiny scrunchies. But, if it is true, then it looks like I may get to see Brody's eyes every day! ![]() My groomer said it was just an awkward stage and that it would lay down, and it looks like she was right. Woo hoo! Maybe I shouldn't celebrate too much yet...

| Ifound the tiny scrunchies at wal-mart in the hair stuff department with the barettes and things. Just to let anyone know they came on a card by goody. There was 42 on the card. I think they were a $1.98. The girls have had them in for 4 hours and not a hair out of place. Linda, Sassy and Patti |
