| Glad that your Baily is home and doing fine..as I said Yoshi, my Peke was neutered at 5 months, took him in a 8:30 and picked him up around 4:30..I was hoping this would work with Prissy too.

| Okay, thank you everyone for the comments! My mom picked up Bailey around 5 today and said that the vet walked her out in the lobby on her leash and she looked normal, just looking around. Mom brought her home and made her crate extra cozy and gave her a treat (which she didn't eat until I got home from work). When I got here, she sat up a bit and started wagging her tail. i took her out of the cage and she was loving on me and then laid down. I took her outside and let her go potty, then brought her back in. I bought a onesie for newborns, but it isn't long enough! So i'm thinking I'm going to go back and get the next size. I've caught her trying to lick a couple times but i said something then she stopped. But i'm scared she will start licking when i am sleeping and i won't hear her in time to stop it. She just seems very sleepy and sad. She's laying in her cage on top of my bed right next to me. I will be taking very good care of her. I'll be spending lots of time with her this weekend. I have noticed her wimpering a tiny bit when she moves around trying to get comfy in her cage. That breaks my heart. I wish it were me and not her. She is supposed to get her staples out in 2 weeks. So until then I do have to be sure she doesn't jump on and off any furniture. That will be the hard part b/c Bailey loves to play and run and jump around a lot. Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes!! I really appreciate it!

| Aww thank you! Yorkies are by far, the cutest around! Bailey is a year and a half! I really felt comfortable with the laser, and everything i read on it. It has a faster recovery time and there is less pain involved for them. The hardest part is keeping her calm for 2 weeks! It's only been one day, and already and i had to go buy her a cone for her head, b/c she keeps trying to lick, unless she's sleeping. And she HATES it!! It's huge! I'm about to look into the soft ones for her! Anyway, I hope you make the right decision for you baby! How old is he/she?

| So glad to hear everything went well. We had the laser done on Belle when she was spayed, and we were so happy with it. She was back to herself that evening, and hardly any discomfort. The hardest part was keeping her away from the staples once she saw them.

Same here, she seems back to her happy little self today, BUT last night was horrible for me b/c I was up all night pretty much b/c i kept hearing and feeling her trying to lick. I am keeping her in her crate on my bed right next to me at night. But it was too much, i barely slept. So today i went to the vet and got the collar for her, but she hates it. It's like too big for her. She can barely move with it on! And this was all going on with the onesie that i bought for her :/

| My husband and I didn't get much sleep either for two weeks waiting for the staples to be removed. I was able to be with her during the day and keep an eye on her, but it was hard at night. Hopefully she will get used to the cone. Or the staples.

| Prissy is only 16 weeks and I hope to have hers done around 6-7 months, so glad that your baby is doing well.

| I'm not sure if it's staples always or maybe stitches sometimes. All i do know is...this is the hardest thing i've ever had to go through with Bailey. Not b/c of her recovery, she seems totally normal, she wants to run around and play, but i have to be keeping such a close eye on her. I am worried about when i have to go to work on monday. I mean my mom works from home, but she's not going to be able to keep an eye on her all day. And i'm just paranoid about her being able to lick at all, I can't imagine what will happen if it gets infected or she pulls one of the staples out! You would think they would have come up with something better than what they have now for their incision. I mean come on, it's already so expensive. Ugh, i'm just frustrated this is so stressful.

| I'm sure she will be fine. I remember Belle tugging at them a few times with her teeth, and I was afraid she would rip them out. But, she was fine.

The vet told us that the skin on her tummy was too thin and wouldn't stay together using stitches.
