| Some people simply weren't raised properly, or were, and have decided to be rude anyway. Other times they're just ignorant and aren't the slightest bit aware of how their words affect other people. Times like this I'd be tempted to say "Oh, a rude person with no tact, yuck!" and walk off. |

| Some people never take in to consideration that their comments (while mostly unintentional) can be hurtful. They are just very opinionated and speak freely no matter what comes out of their mouths. We have a "friend" like that who literally embarrasses us when we're out to dinner. We've managed to reduce the time spent with those folks. |

| A guy I know who owns what he calls a pitbull (it isn't), said he'd punt my Yorkie right in the bend of her stomach (like somebody told courtney1121). I told him I'd punt him in the middle of his legs.

| I was a big dog person too (the link to Nikita in my sig was my baby) but then I inherited ChiChi (also in my links) from my Mom when she sold her house and I just love him to death!!! I got Jimmy, the yorkie, for my GF and we are one tiny happy family lol. I meet tons of people that cringe when they hear I got small dogs and think I'm a bit weaker now than when I had my big ole rottie. (They've obviously have never played tug of war with ChiChi!)

| I like all dogs but I prefer to have small dogs. I can handle small dogs better. Small dogs fit into my home better as far as space. Its easier for me to groom small dogs. Yorkies as well as other small breeds are dogs. Some people prefer larger dogs thats them. Frankly I prefer the smaller poop pick up of smaller breeds. |

| I was a big dog person too. I didn't like small dogs just because I liked the size of a big dog. I thought small dogs were very cute, but not for me. I didn't think Chihuahuas were cute at all. My daughter wanted a Chihuahua since she was about 5 and a half. She saved up her money so that she could get one out of the shelter or a rescue once one of our older dogs passed away. A year and half later our Husky died and a few months after that we found a Chi at the shelter. She changed us forever. I now only want tiny dogs or very small dogs (under 10 lbs). I now really love Chihuahuas and think they're so adorable. Our Chihuahua was our gateway drug to the world of tiny dogs. I had to have a Yorkie and I found one in rescue after months of looking and waiting. We actually just adopted her about 3 weeks ago and we found a mini poodle (less than 10 lbs) at a rescue last weekend and brought her home. I am now addicted to Yorkies and other tiny-small dogs. I get comments all the time about how awful Chihuahuas are and those are often the same people who tell me our Chi is so adorable and sweet just before they ask what kind of dog she is. They don't believe me when I say she is a Chihuahua because she is a tri-colored chi and well behaved. I haven't really heard anybody tell me that Yorkies are terrible, but I'm sure I will eventually run into these people. |

| I work in a pretty small office of only about 15 people - mostly men. I catch alot of grief at work. Several of them, including my Boss, have labs so they make wise cracks and I just give it right back. It's fun for all of us to come up with something clever to say in retaliation. I don't mind big dogs at all. I'm a dog person period but I would have to say that I doubt I will ever have a big dog again. I like the little dog, little mess, little poo, little pee, little food and no shedding hair! It's just sooooooooo much easier! AND they are just so darn CUTE!!!!!!!!!
