| Hair in the eyes I've been trying to grow Sophia's hair out to a medium length. Right now, she's at that awkward stage where her "bangs" are right in front of her eyes! I always joke that she has bangs just like her mom . I've tried using clips and bows, but if I'm lucky enough to even get them on her, they're off in a few minutes. I see all these beautiful yorkies on here with longer hair that doesn't sit in front of their eyes, even without the use of bows! Does it naturally just start parting to the side when it gets longer?? Thanks! |

| Hollis got cut by the groomer, even though I said leave her face alone!! Ugh! So now we are growing back out. I went and got a pack of those kiddie clips that pop inside out and back. I'm not sure how to explain them but they are tiny and metal. She will usually leave them in bc they are so light she forgets about them and also they are quick to put in. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Instead of making one topknot, try making one a bit closer to the front. Use a second band to gather that & more hair further back on the head.

| The latex free bands on this page have helped a lot to hold my babies hair in place. toplinepet.com We also had an incident where the groomer cut her top knot even after I told her I was letting it grow out. What is with these people? Also Placing Bows - Photos : Dog Bows, Quality Dog Bows - Yorkie, Maltese, Shih Tzu - by BowBiz this site has some helpful info on placing the bands. You really cannot hold the fur without the bands. You can place your clip or bow after the bands are in place and they will stay. You may have to do it a bit unconventionally at first until your little one grows her hair to the length you need and want to have. I place the bands closer to the front until we got more length to work with. |

| Jimmy is the same way, I call it his visor. He loves it when I twirl his hair into the shape where I could put a bow in but he won't let me put one in. He totally zones out and falls asleep when I play with his hair... The two knot idea is what I want to do....now if only he would keep it in :/

| Thanks for all of the help! So far so good, it's been in her hair for 10 minutes. Not the prettiest, but it'll do |

| I have pictures of Teddy at that stage, which I refer to as his Kajagoogoo stage -- are you old enough to know the 80s band Kajagoogoo and the lead singer's hair? LOL Looks just like that.

| I hate the awkward growing-out stage! I would love for Levi to have longer facial hair and a longer topknot, but I ALWAYS cave. His bangs were flopping down in his eyes pretty badly recently - and I took him this morning to have him groomed. I can see his eyes again! I'd really like for him to have longer hair for awhile, but I'm just way too impatient to let it get past the awkward stage.

| I am going through this right now too. Growing her bangs out has just about drove me crazy! I am using some clips to keep it out of her eyes. I also have used barrettes. However, I am constantly having to redo it myself. My groomer suggested the tiny rubber bands as well. But I am not very good at them. Hoping I don't cave. But it seems like it is taking forever!
