| She sounds like a keeper to me! You already know how to take care of a little one, so it seems to me that she'd be sooooooooo much better off in your care than someone else who might not take the proper care of her.

So after owning a tiny for 1 year (even though I tragically lost my little girl), I feel that I know a lot of their health and the warning signs to look for. I'm worried that if I don't get this little girl, some irresponsible person (pretending to be responsible and carinig) will buy her and not take care of her properly. She needs a home where she can be pampered and supervised constantly. I know that I could give her a great home and take care of her health needs just like I did for my Katie and like I will continue to do for chunky monkey Codie. The only thing standing in my way is my own feelings of guilt, like I am betraying Katie. But I'm starting to believe what everyone has been telling me all along -- that Katie would want me to be happy and open my heart and home to another little girl.

| We lost spike this summer and said he could never be replaced. He was a great dog and I would feel guilty getting another one. Well in September we could not take it any longer, we got sophie. Sophie has been the best thing for us. We still love spike but sophie has brought such great joy back into our lives. I wish I would have done it sooner.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Jen~ you're so right. What if someone who had no clue how to take care of that little angel came and adopted her? I really think you would make the best home for her! BEST of luck to you!

| WOW. I am crying...I really have to agree with everyones GREAT ADVICE! Your family deserves to be happy once again. You sound like the most loving and caring people. It takes a certain person to care for animals, not everyone can or should, BUT you are definatley one that CAN and SHOULD. Jenn, something you said really hit home. I can't remember exactly but it went something like, 'I am thinking and worried about some other person (non-caring and responsible) taking her home.' I am so 'in love' with TJ and Roxy and I often find myself so worried about 'what if I didn't get them? where would they be right now? would they be together? would they be safe and happy and love?' I know I really don't ever have to worry about those things because I do have them and they are together, safe, happy and sooooooooooo loved! All these feelings I have about them just reassures me that they were meant to be my babies. Good Luck - YOU ARE A GREAT MOMMA! |

| Jen, From your comment "she licked me the same way that Katie use to lick me!!" I sounds like you have fallen in love with her already! You will never replace Katie but you have plenty of love to share with a new little girl! And she will create a special place in your heart and home!

| Hi Jen I think you know she is right for you, and I think that Katie would be sad for you being so unhappy at the moment . So dont feel guilty , you can do something to help you and Codie . This little pup needs you as much as you need her , there are so many people out there willing to purchase one of these little mites so stick in a handbag while they are in fashion but have no idea how to care for them , you could take such good care of her, I hope you come to your decision soon, Katie will always be in your heart so although you miss her dearly celebrate the life she had , and all the special memories you have of her , that can never be erazed. I wish you and your family well take care. |

| I think it's great that you found a new puppy to love, and I don't think you're being selfish for doing it so soon after you lost your baby. I'm sure she's at the rainbow bridge, and would love to see you happy again. |

I thought the same thing while reading these posts. I have a smaller Yorkie and I know they require some special care. It seems like too many people get them (or want them) without realizing their needs. This little girl would be so safe with you wouldn't she? It sounds like you need each other. As long as you feel confident in this breeder and the pups health, my vote is with taking her. (we are voting right?) Katie and your Mom would both love seeing you smile again. They would love knowing that you have this little creature filling the giant void in your heart. Life can be too short, and scary, and challenging, and painful and and and....we can't control those things. Don't waste a moment on guilt. Can't wait to see photos of your new baby. No matter what you name her she will be your JOY. | |

| I think you need her as much as she needs you, i think she has made her choice by licking you the way your little Katie did, she wants you to be her new mommy. You and your husband deserve to be happy so stop punishing yourself by feeling guilty, i can promise you that, thats the last thing Katie would want you to do ... she will never leave you, she knows your a loving family and wants you to love again. God works in mysterious ways, just accept what he brings on your path and know theres a reason for everything Good luck and please keep us posted, remember we are right here for you

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Jen...What time are you bringing her home with you and when can we see pictures ? PLEASE do what your heart is saying - you need this baby and she needs a mommy - you are the perfect mom for her and I think you know it - She'll help you with your grief and never be a replacement for Katie - she will be an addition to your heart - just like Katie was. |
