I had a yorkie/pomerainian and he looked like a rottweiler puppy with short hair like yours. His hair did grow longer and real thick after going through his"ugly teenage stage" with the craziest terrier hair. He had yorkie coloring and became a beautiful dog. He grew to over 15 pounds and was a wonderful dog.

I was brought up with dogs, and they are lovely animals, l lost three dogs in a house fire. But, some owners are callous and will dwell on the emotional side of people who want a dog, that's why it took myself and my wife to decide to get another YT after we lost our one. We sought the credentials of the owner, but eventually we found our Misty, and although we were not sure at first, our friends on this forum put our minds at rest. Misty is a Yorkie, But l would urge anyone who is looking for a dog, wether it be a Yorkie or not, check it out fully. I always have this motto, if you love your dog, the dog will give that back in protecting you and will show you love.

I feel a little off by saying this.. The Lady that sold You the Dog, did it for profit. By misleading Your Bo, She committed Fraud. Legal action might be needed to get any of Your money back. The only problem there is they would prolly make You return the dog.

I've seen cases like this on tv court and if she wanted a full refund then yes she'd have to return the dog. However she could argue that she's grown attached to the dog and is only suing for the difference in cost. If her boyfriend payed a purebred yorkie price which is obviously way more than the cost of a mixed breed dog, she would be refunded that amount.

Good point, if the seller would agree to a partial refund, then the dog could prolly stay where it is now. But, it sounds like the seller is standing on the fact that it is a full breed dog. Which I think We all assume that it is not. If it went this far, it would be up to the seller to decide how far they would be willing to go. The seller sounds like a real heel!

Like someone else said, you may want to get back some of your cash, paying what you think is owed for the dog and getting the rest back if you don't want to lose your puppy in the process. Tell her it's only fair and there is no way this dog is a yorkie. My only concern with all this is that your BF payed more than 100 bucks for this sweet little baby and you may lose it if you fight her on it. Threaten and give her an ultimatum. Money back minus 100 bucks or you bring her butt to small claims court. If you win, you get your money back for court costs. The DNA test probably cost about 55 bucks if you buy it online and that will give you SOLID proof. If you want to keep the puppy I recommend you tell the judge you are willing to pay her some money for it.

| I have seen puppies that looked similar to your baby in pet stores-aka sellers of puppy mill dogs- marketed as yorkies FYI yorkies don't come as "mini" or teacup. It is a marketing scam often they are the runts of a litter or not healthy. If it really bugs you could get the puppy DNA tested for around $60 I think. If it comes back as a mixture call the breeder to see what they are willing to do to set it right.
