| Aww I understand- I'm sure you will be ok, if not come on Yt for support!! I'm always a wreck when Pnut has his dentals!! Just keep ur mind busy, your babies will be fine. The fun part is nursing them back to feeling good- after Pnuts neuter he was so out of it- he is kinda a drama king, but it was hard!

| Beemer could have used a dental when he was neutered last month. My vet wouldn't do them together. He said something about the dental releasing bacteria and not wanting to do that with an open surgery. I've been going to him forever and I trust him so I Just had to go with what he wanted. When Sadie was spayed he did pull baby teeth but he said that was different. I'm not saying not to do it, this is just my vets opinion. Beemer will go back in a couple of months for his dental.

| Hot Rod was 6 1/2 mos old and had dental at the same time of his neuter. Just make sure to get pain meds just in case. Our vet didn't send us home with any and I wish I had some for him.

and Bear too! ♥ Donating Member | Was he in pain from the neuter or dental, or both? How long did it last? I will make sure to ask for pain meds. I know they were listed on the estimate.

after dexter got his neuter though, we were having a hard time stopping him playing the night after it- he was trying to get everyone to play zoomie-tag! he also had quite an extensive dental done at the same time- 3 (adult) teeth pulled, a complete cleaning, and deep tissue injections into his gums. i need to point out that the state of his mouth () was Not my fault- i was given him like that, but he's awesome now! so don't you worry; he'll be grand, and back to his old self in no time (be that a good or bad thing )!

Sophie was spayed at 8 months so I was in no hurry. She was a breeze except for a small bump of fluid down there that went away on it's own. I'm glad to hear that he did so well. Ziggy is suppose to go in on 12/23. I'll be a mess from now until it's over.

The injection was for the major gum infection the neglect had caused; as far as i understand, it had to be injected downwards in the gum- right beside the jaw. Yet when I collected him that evening after everything that had been done, he still kissed the vet nurse who handed him back to me!

Ziggy's always been on dry food and his aren't that bad so hopefully he won't need the injection. They will be giving an antibiotic thank goodness. How funny that the age is about the same! That makes me feel better! He must be a sweetie, still giving kisses after being put through all that!

Dexx was close to having a jaw bone infection, that's why the injection was so intense. But Ziggy having the antibiotic jab won't even register with him by the time he wakes up!
