Neuter and dental at the same time? has anyone had this done? |
We did a spay/liver biopsy/dental. Combining procedures is fine although some vets won't do it. If pup is sick and going under anesthesia to save its life, that is a bit different - obviously no dental should be done. healthy dog being neutered and having a dental - perfectly fine. They will do the procedures in order of importance. If at any time during the process he reacts poorly to anesthesia, they will stop and skip the less important things. |

Peanut had his neuter/ pulled puppy teeth out. If he is healthy I would do it at the same time.. neuters don't take all that long if the testies are intact.. if not it could take a little longer. |
He has one puppy tooth that needs pulled. How long does the dental take? They need cleaned but aren't too bad. |
After the pup is under, neuters usually take less than ten minutes (if testicles are descended). Pulling a baby tooth takes a couple minutes (usually). Cleaning time varies, but should take less than a half hour. I would do it all or he will have to go back under in the near future for the dental. |
Yes def get everything you can in one shot- and get them to trim his nails while his under! Peanut hates his nails cut.. so on his dentals they always make sure they cut them really short!! |

I agree that I'd rather it all be done at once if possible. |
