Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | ![]() Hey guys! Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers! Katie Scarlett and I just got home a bit ago. I had to get her settled in comfortably. We got to the vet early just in case. They were so busy in there today. They did not get to us until 3:45 although our appointment was at 3:30. They knew she did not feel well though and instead of making us wait in the lobby with all the other pets/people, they let us in an extra examination room. She was just trembling in the lobby and I could tell she was going to vomit again. So the vet tech that always works with us motioned me over and got me in a room so she could rest comfortably. After we got in the room, she did vomit once more on the little silver examining table. I cleaned up the mess and cleaned her up and just cradled her until our vet could come in. He took her temperature and it was normal. He also palpated her for any tenderness, lumps, etc. She did not cry out in pain while he did the palpating. The vet mentioned that Yorkies are prone to pancreatitis but that it also could be something as simple as an upset tummy. She has had no change in food and no flea/heartworm/vaccines treatment in the past few weeks. She is due for her Frontline, but he told me to wait until she is clear of the vomiting before applying it. He gave her a 'cerenia injection' to help with the nausea. He said to pull up her food and not let her have anything but water the rest of the day. He said if she has stopped vomiting that I could see if she wanted food tomorrow when we get up. He told me to come back immediately if she continues to vomit or starts having diarhea. She did good on the way home, no vomiting or anything. I got her home and she is now resting comfortably on her favorite blanket next to me. I petted her belly until she fell asleep. She is now cuddled up next to my side. I am going to watch her closely the rest of the night. I am hoping it was just a little stomach bug. I will keep you guys posted on her progress. I am gonna to go and read what I can find on pancreatitis so I can be more informed on that. If it is pancreatitis, does anyone have any experience with this? He said we would keep a close eye on her. I have to take her back next week for her last vaccine for the year. They spread out her vaccines since she is so small. And she hasn't lost weight. She weighed 3.8. She was 3.4 a few weeks ago. Thank you guys so much for your thoughts and prayers!!!!

| ![]() Do you have nutrical for her? Did you ask the vet if there was any concern about her blood sugar if she goes that long without eating? I'm glad she hasn't lost any weight. Hopefully she is all better really soon.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | ![]() Yes, I have Nutri Cal for her. She had Nutri Cal this morning. I usually give her a little bit of Nutri Cal right after her morning grooming every day as a 'treat.' She knows if she is good during grooming that she gets her Nutri Cal. Is that ok to give her a bit every day? She is 5 months now. I was such a mess, I did not to think to ask about that. Should I try to give her a little Nutri Cal tonite?

As for giving it everyday, I think I read somewhere that it is not a good idea. Maybe post a thread asking about it to get more advice. I'll keep your sweetie in my prayers. It is scary when they don't feel well. I'm sure she will be prancing around again in no time!! Peyton sends extra hugs to Katie Scarlett....he thinks she is so pretty! ![]() (btw, a very healthy treat we use around here is cut up and peeled apples...mine love them!)

| ![]() I'm so sorry that KS is not feeling well. I hope that it's just a little bug and she will be back to her spunky self soon. I know you won't be able to sleep well tonight while keeping a close watch on her.(We on YT can keep you company) Sleep with her tonight if possible. I'll be sending prayers for Katie S and you. Hugs xoxo

| ![]() Oh Aymee, I feel so sorry for Katie Scarlett & you. You are the best mom so I know she is in great hands. I hope it turns out to be nothing more than an upset stomach. Sending prayers your way. Will be looking for an update tomorrow morning. {Hugs}

| ![]() I hope Katie is on the mend. Abby is the same age and has just started loosing (and growing) new teeth. She is a lot shorter on energy than she had been- little bursts and then long naps.Could Katie be teething /making her feel puny? |

| ![]() I am so glad you both are home and KS is w/o vomiting. We'll be hoping this is just a yucky stomach bug. We'll continue to pray for KS overnight that she has a good night.
