Hey guys! Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers!
Katie Scarlett and I just got home a bit ago. I had to get her settled in comfortably. We got to the vet early just in case. They were so busy in there today. They did not get to us until 3:45 although our appointment was at 3:30. They knew she did not feel well though and instead of making us wait in the lobby with all the other pets/people, they let us in an extra examination room. She was just trembling in the lobby and I could tell she was going to vomit again. So the vet tech that always works with us motioned me over and got me in a room so she could rest comfortably.
After we got in the room, she did vomit once more on the little silver examining table. I cleaned up the mess and cleaned her up and just cradled her until our vet could come in. He took her temperature and it was normal. He also palpated her for any tenderness, lumps, etc. She did not cry out in pain while he did the palpating. The vet mentioned that Yorkies are prone to pancreatitis but that it also could be something as simple as an upset tummy. She has had no change in food and no flea/heartworm/vaccines treatment in the past few weeks. She is due for her Frontline, but he told me to wait until she is clear of the vomiting before applying it. He gave her a 'cerenia injection' to help with the nausea. He said to pull up her food and not let her have anything but water the rest of the day. He said if she has stopped vomiting that I could see if she wanted food tomorrow when we get up. He told me to come back immediately if she continues to vomit or starts having diarhea. She did good on the way home, no vomiting or anything. I got her home and she is now resting comfortably on her favorite blanket next to me. I petted her belly until she fell asleep. She is now cuddled up next to my side. I am going to watch her closely the rest of the night. I am hoping it was just a little stomach bug.
I will keep you guys posted on her progress. I am gonna to go and read what I can find on pancreatitis so I can be more informed on that. If it is pancreatitis, does anyone have any experience with this? He said we would keep a close eye on her. I have to take her back next week for her last vaccine for the year. They spread out her vaccines since she is so small.
And she hasn't lost weight. She weighed 3.8. She was 3.4 a few weeks ago.
Thank you guys so much for your thoughts and prayers!!!!
