Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | I know it's silly, but Yay!!!!! Ok, y'all are gonna think I'm nuts (as well as the other people at a local park today), but we had a HUGE event! Katie Scarlett and I went to the park that is about 1/4 mile from our house. It has fabulous paved walking trails and even goes along a river. We take KS there almost every day. It is absolutely beautiful, safe, and she loves it! Today we went on about a 45 minute walk. Well about half way in we were walking and she stopped dead in her tracks and she poopied!!!! She has NEVER pooped outside before...well as long as we have had her which is almost 2 months. I was jumping up and praising her like I hit the jackpot. Only one problem...I had none of those little poop baggies with me!!! So I found a really big leaf and got it up that way and tossed it into a nearby trash can. I think I'll be purchasing one of those cute little holders that holds the little bags. I was completely unprepared because she has never pooped outside. She just refused to, but today we had a breakthrough!!! I am so HAPPY right now! AND I am happy to report that she is walking so much better. We were having a lot of problems with her. She just did not want to be walked on the leash. I hated to drag her so we never got very far. Well today she walked right along almost the whole time. She stopped for the big event (LOL) and at a few passing leaves, but other than that walked right by my side!!! I am on Cloud 9 right now and just had to share!

| ha...I can totally relate and can so picture your excitement! At 11 months old, on Halloween night, while we were all out in the front yard handing out candy, ZoE peed on the grass for the very first time ever! I was doing the happy potty dance too Nothing like being able to share these moments of pride with fellow yorkie mums, huh? lol

| Congrats, I can remember when Yoshi first pooed on leash,,I was so excited and it also helped when we went to the beach,,his daily walks always were rewarded and he knew that was when to go..I also had the holder that hooks on to his leash for the disposal of poo... |

| That's wonderful! I would think that she did so well, because you took her to a place that was fun and interesting to her. She was enjoying walking there.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | One of the things I love about YT is that others can totally relate to being excited about dog poop.

| Don't feel silly! We're still working on potty training and Cody is an outside potty-er. But I still make a fuss like he's doing the most amazing thing on the planet every single time he goes to the bathroom outside. I'm convinced the other local dog owners think I'm absolutely bonkers, but you do what you gotta do! (I was wondering about my own sanity as I exclaimed "Good peepees! Good boy!" this morning at 4 AM outside our apartment building. It's tough being excited that early, but I do it for him! ) |

| Oh, I know exactly how you feel - doing the little war-dance that drives them nuts and laughing "good poo-poos" all over the place - it's a milestone and it's brilliant - congratulations!! And now a little confession. The first time Harry did it, I didn't have a poo bag with me, either. I had no tissue in my pocket, and there were no handy leaves around. So what did I do? I kicked it into the river!!!! How gross is that? Sally + Harry x |
