Don't feel silly! We're still working on potty training and Cody is an outside potty-er. But I still make a fuss like he's doing the most amazing thing on the planet every single time he goes to the bathroom outside. I'm convinced the other local dog owners think I'm absolutely bonkers, but you do what you gotta do!
(I was wondering about my own sanity as I exclaimed "Good peepees! Good boy!" this morning at 4 AM outside our apartment building. It's tough being excited that early, but I do it for him!
