Have I gone INSANE??? - Page 3 - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Well I suppose I am really insane because honestly I wouldn't be able to tell my son no, him being the only one not having one to call his own and with him already having named him. Oh the face of that little spotted baby, I would be so done! LOL

Could be totally irrelevant or not but after my 4th skin baby (4 years old) I told my hubby I wanted one more. I wish you could have seen the look on his face! WHAT?!? I didn't know how to explain it but I just felt someone was missing and once my son was born we just felt complete.

I know we are talking fur babies vs skin babies but do you feel complete in your heart or is someone missing? With care and finances for them seemingly not an issue then I would think that would be the one big question left because I know once your heart feels like it's missing a part it isn't easy to fill that spot.

I say go for it whats one more but than I have 5 furkids!

It makes no difference to me about the bloodline. The issue is that you are going to be responsible for this puppy. Fourteen year olds usually are busy with school and activities and friends. A puppy is a full time job. It would mean taking on the house training thing all over again and trying to get everyone to adjust to the new pup. If you are fine with the responsibility and added work and expense of another puppy then I guess that is your answer. Just go into it with your eyes wide open. Your son is about to go into a whole new stage in his life and will not be spending much time with that dog in the future.

If you can afford it I would do it... I agree and would wait for a full recovery from Mac, but once all was clear I would say go for it- we all know you are a wonderful fur Mommy, and it sounds like you are a great Skin Mommy.. life is too damn short not to enjoy it and esp make your son have "his own"! Enjoy life while we can, having lots of fur babies is a great way too :0)

Ps- having a puppy is the best thing- I know ur son is young, but I know you will teach him everything he needs to become a wonderful dog owner!

I def wasn't saying kendra was less of a moral dog owner for buying a hybrid/mix, just wondering about the breeder. But from what's been said I say DO IT! I would say once Mack is better as well, mind you if you can deal with a baby pup and a sick pup then more power to you! I know I couldn't! If your son is set on that pup and everyone else in the family has their own dog per say and you think he can take care of it then def go for it. In fact the best thing for a kid is responsibilities so why not give him one that he can love and loved in return

plus look at the amazing collection of colors you have going on haha I just love it!

By the way the fur baby that you said was part sh**sue it is spelled Shih-Tzu pronounced Sheed Zoo and the only way I know this is because Nicky's big brother is a pure breed Shih-Tzu... Hope I didn't step on any toes here... I just wanted to help out a little!! Didn't mean to hurt feelings.

Your babies are darling. Just go with what your heart tells you. I would have never thought I would have 4 but I do and wouldn't trade them for anything. Even our senior, Tina with all her problems, I would do it all over again.

Oh, Kendra that baby is WAY too cute. I say YES, Lol. I have 5 now & have had 2 or 3 in the past. I can only speak for myself but once you hit 3, what's a couple more . And... how can ya say no to your son when the rest of you all have your own pups ? Glad Mac is doing better too.
