Have I gone INSANE??? 3 Attachment(s) Hi my wonderful YT family.... New question for you all!! Most of you know my furkids....Bevo (my baby), Mack Brown( hubbys baby) and Bryleigh Shae (My daughers baby)...ALTHOUGH, they are ALL mine...and I love them all dearly and equally.... My son (who is 14) feels "left out" and has been begging for a pup to call his own....even though, he too loves all the babies... So.....Bryleighs breeder gives me a call about 3 weeks ago to let me know she has a new litter...and then teases me with pictures....NOW, My son cant quit talking about this puppy he already refers to as "Jaxon". "Jaxon" is Bryleighs cousin...also 3/4 yorkie, 1/4 s**tzu....His daddy is full yorkie (and a parti) Mom is 1/2 yorkie, 1/2 s**tzu...He has the most adorable face and he is calling out to me too..... BUT, given the fact that we 1. already have THREE babies, and 2. Mack just recently was so terribly sick...would I be a fool to add another??? Or, would this complete my family?? I have spoken to the breeder and told her due to the conditions of Macks recent illness, IF we decided to adopt Jaxon, I would want to take him to the vet myself to get his first 3 rounds of puppy shots (and then return him to her each time) before I ever brought him home.... Just would like some thought and opinions... Heres the fam....1st, Bevo and Mack Brown (taken Saturday..doesnt Maccy look great??), 2nd Miss Bryleigh.....AND LAST...JAXSON (who is only 4 weeks old right now) Lets see..we'd have a "normal" yorkie, a white one, a black one....and a spotted one! |
Yes.:sidesplt: ...but what is it?:D |
I'm so glad Mack is feeling better. I have no advice. I just added a second and am adjusting to that. I'm sure if you decide to get the 4th he will get a wonderful home. |
Yes! Won't he be leaving for college in 4 (or less) years? While there's a rare exception, most kids don't actually care for or provide for the dog, the parent does. I've always told my kids they get to share/enjoy whatever dog I have and when they have they own homes they can obviously get whatever they want. However...if what he wants is also what you want for you.....then you're slightly less insane :D |
Mack looks great!! Glad he is feeling better. That little puppy is sooo cute, I would have a difficult time resisting!! If you are up for adding a 4th, I'd go for it! |
OH MY GOSH.....what a cutie!!!!! I have no real advice because I'm struggling with adding another myself right now. I just HAD to tell you how cute Jaxson is!!! :D |
Yes, Yorkie insane and everyone should be so lucky as to catch it! That little white baby is just darling! |

And yes... I am falling for him too! I need a yorkie vaccine!!! |
also 3/4 yorkie, 1/4 s**tzu....His daddy is full yorkie (and a parti) Mom is 1/2 yorkie, 1/2 s**tzu I totally missed this thinking it was just Bry's! |
Hi, I can't say what you should do. I have 4 Yorkies and a Lab. And right now two Foster pups. I would like to keep every foster doggie. I know I could be an animal hoarder, if I were wealthy enough to take care of them. Every little face breaks my heart. But I always stop myself with these 5 questions. 1. Could someone else love this doggie as much as I could ? 2. Can I afford the Vet Bills and do I have enough for the unexpected accident or illness ? 3. Would this doggie enrich the life of my other Doggies, and family ? 4. Would this doggie get more attention with another family ? 5. Did I promise healing and help or a forever home ? |

Great questions!!!! 1. I would hope so! 2. Yes 3. My family, yes... The other babies? Well, I don't know... So far, the addition of first Mack, and then bryleigh was wonderful... 4. Again, maybe. But, my gang gets a ton of attention and love.... 5. Definately I'm just as confused!' lol... Lots to think about! |
This thread now had me wondering where everyone lives that you are allowed to have so many dogs. My township ordinance restricts us to 3 dogs per residence. (There's an exception in there for a period of months should there be puppies involved.) And they are strict about enforcing it. |
I am trying to talk my husband into getting a girl. That would make four for us. I say go for it!!! |
I'm wondering why no one mentioned that this breeder is breeding Mixes... so wouldn't this make this breeder a BACKYARD BREEDER? And I thought we don't support those here on YT? I have seen lots of people being told to NOT buy from someone because of red flags as a BYB, Mill, etc? However, SOOOO cute. I'd probably buy on impulse. I would be looking for a registered AKC breeder though after all I've read on here. Although you might be giving on of her puppies and amazing home are you willing to pay to support BYBing and think of the puppies siblings that are just a designer dog to some buyers and may end up in shelters after their cute puppy sizes wear off. I don't want to come off mean but I've seen other members if they said they were buying from a breeder who mixes everyone would say run, don't buy, don't support BYB. However if the puppy is free... then of course no problem there right? Just a though. Very cute dogs all around though, and you have a unique collection of colors haha!!! |
