Does anyone know how to make these beds?

It is Simplicity pattern # 3906. It also has a pattern for a sack style bed that Ziva loves.(no stuffing- good for dogs that are destructive!!)

I can tell you these are very labor intensive. Plan on at least a few hours.
I used a Simplicity pattern as was mentioned earlier.

I'm sure they are. ...but I would rather spend time making one as pay over $100 ... I'm too cheap!

I just asked my sister if she would help me. She can sew pretty good. She's a school teacher so she doesn't have time to do a lot of sewing but said she would help me. I can sew, but I'm not an expert.

Wow~you spent $30 on fabric Plus a pattern and fiber fill. I sew too and have this pattern. It's a very labor intensive project that I decided not to even attempt to undertake.

Plus with a YT vendor selling them I'd rather pay her to make one for me. I've seen Sherry's work and it would be well worth the few extra dollars to just purchase one.

I spent $26 on fabric and ribbon. I have a whole huge box of stuffing sitting in my closet so i didn't have to buy that. Yes, I did buy the pattern. ..and if I would have known there was someone here that made them before I purchased fabric I would have inquired about that. However I had already purchased the fabric and what would I do with it? It would be kind of silly on my part for me to purchase the fabric and then have someone to make me one without me even trying first.

I don't even know how much YT member Sherry charges for these beds. ...so I don't have any idea what amount "a few extra dollars" is. I just knew I didn't want one bad enough to spend over $100 on one which is what the one's cost that I seen already made.

I understand it might be a difficult pattern, but I've got the stuff so I'm gonna at least give it a try.

I'm sorry if it upsets anyone that I've decided to try making this myself

I just made this bed last saturday. It was super easy and only cost for everything 43.00 I have pictures on my album. The only thing i didnt do was put the stiches to make it look like it had flower petals. I thought because of the minky type fabric, what was the use, u wouldnt be able to see it anyway but those stiches help the bed keep its shape. The black fabric was pricey at 14.99 a yard, but its so soft I couldn't resist, and. Its a lot cheaper than buying one already made. My co worker wants me to make one for her pup. I already have an order haha.

I also bought the real soft mink-like fabric and I paid $12. a yard for it. Only for one side. I bought less expensive fabric for the other side.

So last night I was over in Evansville, IN. and went to Hobby Lobby and I bought some fabric. I thought I might try and make my own. I have looked online for a pattern but haven't found anything.

I've make one of the three drawstring beds (still have two to go...) but, I'm ashamed to say that I'm still waiting for my stuffing to arrive.

Anyway, the pattern that I think is a Simplicity or maybe McCalls was fairly easy to do. The time consuming part was mapping out the area's that you sew to make the petals.

Oh and the grommets were fun...I ended up putting them on the side that I had intended as the lining...but, no biggie.

One of these days...I'll get my stuffing and stuff the beds and who knows...maybe I'll get around to taking a pic and show off what I did...lol

ps...Abby & Bella & Pheebs are glaring at me for making them wait a minute longer for their beds...
