What made you choose your Yorkies name?

We really wanted a masculine name for our tiny boy...so we thought on it for a few days after we got him. Well...he loved playing and sleeping on my DH's shoulder and he always thought my DH's earlobe was a chew toy...LOL...so we came up with Tyson, "like Mike the boxer" because of the ear biting incident!

My daughter's Yorkie is Rin and everyone asks why we didn't name Tyson "Stempy" after the cartoon. I have to explain everytime that Rin is short for Rinesme, an Anime novel character (cause my daughter is crazy for everything Japanese)

I wanted an old fashioned gentle ladies name so Molly and Lily came to stay. Robyn came with her name. Her kc name is Sweet crimson shadow. Brodie is after Deacon Brodie an old scots ruffian.
And mitzi just cause we liked it.

My 3 yr old yorkie is Harley, he was named after our motorcycle and because we wanted to take him with us when we went riding, and we do. He has goggles and his own little leather jacket. I have a front carrier that straps over my shoulders and his hatness clips inside. Kinda like a baby backpack. He loves to ride with the wind blowing in his face. My 5 month old yorkie baby is Barbie. She was named after my best friend. When I got Barbie she begged me to name her after her. The name really fits. Just like my friend, she is girly, petite yet fiesty and knows what she wants.

I also have a 10 yr old pug, named Gracie. I just loved the name.

My 4 year old son loves UmiZoomie Georgie was named after my Springer Spaniel I had growing up. He was the sweetest boy but nothing compared to my Georgie part 2 His full name is Sir George Maxamillion of Park Avenue

It's so funny and neat to hear how all our babies got their names.
I have Rocky, my first yorkie. Named after a Boxer. (like another one on here)
Then I got Rosie, her name is Rosabella on her papers, and we call her Rosie, another R name.
Then came Raindrop, because she was so tiny and it was raining.
I lost her before her 2nd birthday, and along came another one. One of Rosie's puppies. She helped me through a terrible time, when I lost Raindrop.
So I named her Amazing Grace, and we call her Gracie.

I like liquor names. My last dog was Bailey(Bailey's Irish Cream) and this one is Brandy. I was telling a woman at the pet store and she said sounds like a problem, AAA is down the street.
