| ![]() I wanted a dog name versus a people name...so I took Copper's name from the Disney movie The Fox and the Hound. I loved the scene in the movie when the fox tells the hound his name is Todd. The hound responds by saying, "My name is Copper and I'm a hound dog." You can Youtube it. It is very cute! So....I borrowed the name! ![]()

I like unique names, probably bc mine is sooooo common, and LOVED the name Stormy. I used to work at a call center and had to transfer calls to a different department a few times a day and a lot of the time I got a girl named Stormy that answered. When I asked her to repeat her name the first time I heard it, she said "Stormy - like the weather" and I was in love with it ha. I LOVE the rain so it was just perfect. I didn't get my puppy until a couple of years after this, but I always remembered the name and loved it so much that I decided to name my pup that ![]() | |

| ![]() Shenna my Yorkie was a rescue and came with the name Ladybug, didn't like it and Shenna popped into my head. Cooper (Chiweenie) was born Feb 1st so I had lots of valentine names but when I brought him home at 8 weeks, he walked in the backyard and his back legs bowed out and looked like my friends Mini Cooper car, so hense the name Mini Cooper or just Cooper Oscar, toy poodle was a rescue and 12 and knew his name too well, I wanted to change it to Sammy but left it as Oscar Nala another Yorkie rescue. Came to me in Sept 11 with this name and she came to it, so I just kept is as I kinda liked it, well she has some major issues with seperation anxiety, so I called her Neurotic Nala for months and now she has settled down some so I just call her Nut Nut or Nala, she comes to both names...........LOL |
