| ![]() I had this experience back in early 2010, when we had our new chain link fence put up. The fence guy's helper was absolutely fascinated with Neo and just snapped away with his cell phone. He didn't speak much English, and seemed pretty polite and harmless, but my inner alarms went off, anyway. I just kept Neo really close, and put locks on the gates after the fence was finished. You just never know- ![]() |

| ![]() I have had people ASK to take picture of Remy. They usually are interested in a cute outfit she has on or something like that. This happened a lot when she was really young. At a dogie expo I had a whole family wanting pictures holding remy.. they looked like Asian tourist.. it was so cute and they seams so happy

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | ![]() It does sound a little off to me too. I'd be keeping a eye out just in case. Never can be too safe this day and age.

| ![]() The situation you are describing does seem really weird. I agree it may just be more of a language barrier than something malicious. It never hurts to be extra cautious though. ![]() I always ask if I want to take a picture of someone else's dog. People are always taking pictures of Rory and Lane. Most of them ask, but I have seen some just snapping away from a distance. I know a large part of it is probably that they are always dressed in matching outfits with bows. I'm sure most people have the best intentions and just think the girls are cute. It can get annoying though having to stop every 2 feet at a festival or something because people want a picture. I even zipped up the stroller at an event a few weeks ago, because people kept stopping us, but I guess you could still see too easily through the mesh - it did little to deter it, heh. It is a compliment I suppose, but it's just the "norm" to me to having little dogs running around dressed up. ![]() ![]()

| ![]() That is weird...I agree with everyone else. My boys have people take their picture EVERY time we go anywhere...but they always ask if I mind...Of course my boys are always fully clothes and wear sunglasses and people just marvel at the glasses.... But If someone were to start randomly taking pics without my consent...id prob slap them over the head with my purse!!!

| ![]() Someone took Sakura's picture today. I have never had someone I didn't know take a picture of her before. I work in a Mardi Gras shop and every once and a while someone will come in to look at the costumes being made. Well today it was just me and the dogs (my boss and a coworker bring their dogs to the shop too) in the back and a woman came in to back and asked to take pictures. She started snapping away and I went back to work and kept telling Sakura to stop barking. I was covering a large collar piece and couldn't really see past my desk so the next thing I knew the woman was in front my desk by the chair Sakura sits in. She didn't ask to take pictures of any of the dogs but took a few of mine. I thought it was really weird. |

| ![]() I've had people take pictures of my baby before. But they usually have asked. And my baby really loves the attention. ![]() ![]()

| ![]() I'm a little late to this party. Yesterday was crazy, because it was to be my first day of classes. Even though I had registered and so forth, I hadn't paid for the classes, because they needed to do a placement test, and they told me that they would contact me the next day (Thursday last) with the results, blah blah blah. Well no one contacted me, and Friday was the hurricane, the college got flooded out, and certain computer banks (including new registrants) were killed by water. I knew none of this until Monday night, and so all Tuesday I was running around the campus getting re-registered and so on. Well, Pixie was with me, because I don't leave her in the house alone when I'm going to be gone for an extended period of time. She caused a stir, EVERYONE wanted to show her around the various offices, and take pictures of her. Most couldn't get over how tiny she is, but others just thought she was too adorable, and a few were yorkie people that just wanted to show a picture to their family. I have actually found a LOT of people want to talk pictures of Pixie. Even before now. But MOST people ask first. I don't know what I would have done in this situation. The language barrier is a problem, yes, but showing you the camera and pointing at the dog would have gotten the point across (I have actually learned more spanish thanks to Pixie.. Que linda perrita - what a cute little dog, lol). I suppose his demeanor would have determined my being alarmed or not. We have very striking dogs, they have both beauty AND cuteness. That makes them irresistible to people. I am learning to take that in stride. |
