| My heart is just breaking for all of you in this awful storm path. I am praying so hard that you will all be safe. I thougt those of us in the Heat Wave were having tough times but very weather and a draught slims in comparison to the treachery of this storm! I just pray this monster will shake its big ugly self to the right by about 50 - 100 miles and go off and do its deeds in the deep ocean and leave you all alone! It scares me to think of how hard it is going to be if the power is off for a long time, especially in the big cities where so many really poor and disadvantaged people live and am wondering what they will do for help. Many of them probably have dogs and cats and I can only hope and pray someone will look in on them if they and their pets don't or can't evacuate. I'll bet vet services will be shut down all over during the lead-up to, the time of and post-storm. What in the world will the pets do in an emergency? Do any of you have a go-to vet you can at least call if not get in to see during this weekend?

| I know everyone here will do everything they can for their safety and the safety of their pets. I feel for those animals that will be left tied out or without any cover from the storm by the senseless and careless. Keep your eyes open for strays and the animals of fools. |

| My thoughts are with you all who live in those areas ! I hope you all will be safe! Can't imagine how it is to be in this hurricane , well Hurricane Hanna went over where I was when I was in the US but that was only really bad rain and thunders nothing else, but it sucked. Fido sends hugs to everyone, be safe !! Be sure to take enough dog food and water with you if you have to go somewhere, have everything they need in a bag by the door in case of emergency, and also be sure to have at least 2 leashes and 2 harnesses/collars in case the dog gnaws out of 1 of them or breaks it cause dogs can really get scared in those hurricanes and freak out and try to escape like theres no tomorrow, make sure the leashes are strong enough and also the harnesses/collars, I would use a collar if I had to go somewhere in this cause some harnesses are easy to break and can easily be pulled off, have the collar/harness tight enough so it doesn't get off easily if the dog gets scared. I hope all goes well !

| Just got some more input from a friend that works with rescue and does fostering: Also, pack several packages of wet wipes for cleaning accidents in the crates and in your car, along with plastic bags to package things like used wet wipes and potty pads. Plastic grocery bags work really well for this. Animals get scared during storms, and scared animals will poop and pee wherever they happen to get scared. ![]() Living first in Southern California (wildfires) and now Oklahoma (tornadoes) we are well versed in the art of getting ready to get the hell out, while accompanied by large numbers of panting, panicking, peeing canines. It's never pretty but it doesn't have to be tragic. ***** I'm all the way out on the other coast but I am nervous! EVERYONE STAY SAFE!

| Hoping all is well with everyone during the next few days...sounds like this one may be a big one. I think we are ready...at least I know I have everything for Trixie....peepads and food and water.....now for everyone else ![]() My daughter was supposed to move into her college dorm Sunday, but now we have been advised to move our daughter into her dorm tomorrow about 45 minutes from our house further out on Long Island, but are checking the updates every few hours. Supposedly the storm is moving faster than expected and they say it should start to rain tomorrow morning....they have moved move-in from Sunday to Saturday and now from 10-2 to 8-12. Ugh! I was thinking of taking Trixie with us in the car just to be safe, but remembered that my friend Cathy lives only 2 doors away and would bring her to her house if we were stuck away from the house. She has a morkie that Trixie just loves. Stay dry my friends and I will try and do the same

| Donating YT 500 Club Member | I always feel like I am completely out of the loop.. because I have no T.V so I get to the news rather slow nowdays.. If it wasn't for YT I would be really lost. However, I did get up to speed after I watched some news on ABC via online. My thoughts and prayers are with you all going through this. I hope everyone remains safe.

| YT Addict | I am praying for all of you and your safety! I know how it is to be in the middle of a hurricane and its not fun! I was in Cancun, MX when Hurricane Emily hit years ago and it was really scary. Just make sure you guys have plenty of food and water and everything you may need for a couple days. Make sure your windows are taped up (ours were taped in our hotel room but the wind still broke them and our room on the 12th floor was flooded. Try and keep anything you don't want to get wet, in a bathtub/shower/something that will keep water out in case of a small flood in your home (it can happen) and make sure you have lots of candles/flashlights/batteries/ and a good book or something to do until the storm passes and make sure you have bully sticks/toys/etc for your babies to keep busy and their mind off of the storm. Please please please those of you on the east coast, check in with us once the storm passes and let us know how you are doing! I think I speak for everyone on YT that we are all worried about you and will keep you in our thoughts/prayers! Good luck!
