PetSilk is better, finishes with a clean look. Vaseline does look messy. Be careful with any product and remember eye health is most important.

You're right Kristin! I forgot Kaji is good about leaving his topknot/clips in. He's definitely not a rowdy boy.

Here it is! This is where we started with the clips. Eventually, the clip is now in a much more normal place.

The thing I hate about clipping the hair around the eyes, is you will have to always do it. And as soon as the clipped hair gets any tiny amount of growth, the direction is directly in the eyeball. Then you have to get some blunt nosed scissors or clippers reeeeaaaallly close the the eye to cut them short again. Not something I want to do again. Someone told me to clip it, but as soon as it started to grow out again, I realized these people do not groom their dogs themselves, and this is a bad idea.

I say just wait it out and let it grow. Eventually it will grow enough where the weight of the hair will make it lay down on its own without any product.

yep, i totally agree. i'm going to be doing most of ziggy's grooming so i don't want to start something i cant handle, lol.. i think this is the time to just be patient.. it will grow out soon enough

thanks for show me that. he looks good with eyes,lol.. yeah i will most definately watch and see how he reacts to the clip. if he tries to take it off, ill just go the vaseline route.
