Hardest Thing To Capture On Film

Is there something cute your baby does that you've tried to capture on camera? But you never seem to be able to catch it.

Kaji sleep barks. I run to get the camera each time. When I come back, he's either gone (secretly behind me) or he's sound asleep and not making a peep. I think it's so cute when he hiccups too. I can't catch those on video either.

Another thing I'd like to catch is Kaji doing a leaping catch for the ball. He's such a ball enthusiast and he's so cute.

I've tried catching Ahi doing her dig to China bit. The area where her Cloud 9 bed is, is poorly lighted. She digs at her Cloud 9 when she is ready to go to sleep. She also digs in blankets on couches and sometimes at the edge of things. Like when she wants to get off my bed, she will stand at the edge and dig with her front paws. LOL It's very cute but everytime I get my camera...she also stops or the camera won't catch it good.

I love that Kaji sleep barks! That means he is completely comfortable in his dreams to express himself, so he should continue growing in his waking hours too.


As for hardest thing to capture on film....that would apply to just about everything with my guys. Both of them are camera shy so I have very, very few shots that have captured their lively personalities. Make that none for Max. I don't have a single shot that captures the essence of the Maxman. Teddy, I have a couple.

There's so much that Porscha does that I can't manage to catch on camera.
The other night while she was sleeping she kept growling and shaking her head left to right extremely fast and tho my instant reaction was "how weird/cute?!" I became worried after it went on for 4 mins. I was scared to wake her up because I didn't want to startle her so I just gently pet her and praise her. She woke up so confused! I guess my angel was having a nightmare?!

I would love a simple picture of Thor looking straight at the camera with his tongue out. He has SUCH a cute pant face.

He is also somewhat camera shy, so as soon as the camera comes out, in goes the tongue.

Actually, it's even worse than that. He is still kind of shy around ME, so usually when he looks directly at me, he closes his mouth. I treasure the few times he's been hot enough or tired enough to pant when I'm looking straight at him.

I really want to get Princess's strange fetch ritual on video. She brings me the ball, I throw it, she brings it back & I have to struggle to get it from her. Then...as soon as I get it she runs to her food & eats a few bites. Then she'll turn around & wait for me to throw it & it starts all over again. When I want her to eat this is the only way I can "make" her. She's so weird.

Sleep barks! That is adorable. Jackson has done this TWICE now and I sooo wish I could capture it on tape. He sits up, in his sleep, and begins howling. He's done twice in his life and I never have a camera near-by. I'm always trying to get him to howl, and looking like a lunatic, he never does it for me. So when he did it in his sleep, I was just cracking up.

Have you thought about teaching him to stick out his tongue? It's pretty easy if he's food motivated. I caught Joey accidently a couple of times with his tongue out, and gave him a treat, he seemed to catch on immediately. Now when I use the word "tongue", he'll stick it out. Of course, he also does it alot on his own now, and it means "I want something to eat."


My absolute favorite thing to see Joey do is crawl, he lays first on his stomach and then craws, but he does it so fast it's hilarious. I can't see him doing it without cracking up. Still haven't gotten a movie of it, but I should.

Sleep barks! I've seen Cooper do this only once. But what I really want to (& have been trying) to catch on camera is Max punching Cooper in the face. It usually occurs right after Cooper bites Max's mouth or after Cooper steals a toy that Max was just playing with. Max has a repeated one-armed punch right to the top of Cooper's head. I actually tried to capture it this morning but Max stopped as soon as he heard the camera turn on.

You're not alone. Kaji did that at first too. Now he must have a "fresh kill" before every meal. He'll chase and capture a ball or a stuffy, sometimes shake it, and then walk over to his food and eat. He's very particular about where the toy goes next to his food bowl. If it's not just right, he'll adjust the ball's placement before he starts eating. He's so weird!!!!

My Mel used to stick her tongue out everytime I was saying how pretty she was.. but she just needed to see the camera in my hands to put her tongue back inside her mouth.. lol

Uni sleep barks sometimes. It's not loud enough to capture on camera I don't think. The one time I did wish I got on camera though, was when she got in a fight with a raging rain gutter. I took her out to potty, but it was raining, so she was suited up in full rain gear. As we walked back inside, she went to take a closer look at the rain gutter, and a lot of rain water splashed in her face. Instead of getting scared off, she got mad! She started barking and biting at the rain water that was rushing out of the gutter, getting herself soaked! I had to literally pick her up and say leave it. then we walked past a trickling rain gutter, and she proceeded to attack that one as well! It was the funniest thing I have ever seen her do, and the terrier like I've ever witnessed her being. Oh I WISH I had my camera!
