| ![]() I would never think of a yorkie getting preggo at 5 years old. My babies are done by that age or prior to..Far to much for a first time at this age. Having puppies just to keep one is not the right reason. Purchase one if you need a new puppy. Believe me with any problems at all it could very well cost you far more with vet bills on mommy and babies then purchasing a new puppy. If you do not have the money to purchase a new puppy, then you do not have the money to take the chance on breeding especially one too old .. Hope this helps,, |

| ![]() When you breed a female, you put her first..that means you miss all sorts of things like vacations...a litter should be planned and when the bitch is due to whelp and at least for the 2 weeks after you should not leave home...and that is when you have another breeder to sit for you and care for your bitch like they would their own. My best friend missed her 25TH anniverary party and many other functions due to litters...I missed years of my life...as many other dedicated breeders. |
