Is fairly acidic bad? I heard that citrus is good for first signs of uti. I give her honey tangerines and oranges if they are sweet from time to time.

| I wouldn't say it's that bad. Tomatoes are full of antioxidants and can be good. Not something I'd choose to give, particularly to a dog that sometimes spits up and has stomach acid issues. No need to acidify the urine when a UTI is thought to be present. Antibiotics are the only thing needed. If there are struvite crystals from a UTI, acidifying the urine may be recommeneded, but that isn't usually done with foods thought to be acidic (i.e. cranberry juice) because it doesn't work for long enough periods.
