| Are there covered pee pads? I'm looking for a pee pad house or something similar to offer Princess some 'privacy'. She's pad trained using pads & a holder in our bathroom, but if someone is in there doing hair, etc, we leave the door open for her but she'll pee in the hallway instead. I'd like to move the pads to the hall that way she'll always have access no matter what. I've tried putting the pads out there but she wont use them & I know it's because she wont go in front of anyone in the house. Does such a thing exist? I've googled it don't see anything. I tried searching on here but it wont search the words "pee pads" since it's so common. Thanks for any info.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I've never heard of any type of cover for dogs, I know they have them for cats, but whether a dog would go in it and pee, I doubt it, it's too much like a den, and that goes against instinct. Joey is the same way, he likes his privacy. We keep pads in more than one room, otherwise he would resort to the carpet too. Try keeping the pad in the bathroom and in the hall. Sometimes we have to accommodate those little idiosyncrasies.

| Mine are the same way- I have two different pads out, so if someone is in the room they can go to the other one and use that instead.

| I've seen people use a plastic tub (like you get at Walmart for storage) turned upside down and with a doorway cut out, to make an enclosed den for a dog giving birth, which might work for you. But like Nancy said, if it's too much like a sleeping place, they won't go in it. Mine goes outside, but likes a semi-enclosed area to poop, so I'm going to make him some kind of outside "bathroom" to go in. |

| Not sure if you have a cvs but we bought a little travel dog house that is put together with Velcro. Came in pink with puppy paws and blue with puppy paws-sounds like it would be perfect for what you're wanting. http://cgi.ebay.com/COLLAPSIBLE-INDO...a#ht_954wt_922 I think we paid 10.00 for ours at cvs.
