As to walking, we are not walking in this heat, either. We actually started cutting down on time outside since Gidget was diagnosed w allergies this spring, but this heat is really getting us to stay inside. She now is amused by going for rides (in AC car!) and going into pet-friendly local stores in her carrier. She's not spoiled at all! ![]()

It is just so horrible to be sitting here praying for rain and then watching the news and seeing the devastating flooding and extreme heat indexes across most of the nation. Praying everyone cools off soon!

| ![]() We go out very early ..... like about 6:00AM. Sometimes we go out again at around 8:00PM. I would rather miss the evening walk but she really loves to do and looks forward to it. Hope there is a cold front coming through soon. |

| ![]() 4 idiots (3 friends and myself) scheduled to play golf today. We all showed up, and were the only ones on the Fox Run GC. THe lot was empty and usually it is packed. I felt good on the front none, but started going downhill on the back nine, and had 10 more strokes on the back nine. Could not wait to finish. Got home, showered, feel asleep, took a nap, woke up, and still stiff. Age and heat do not mix. At least I had 5 Bottles of Water and 3 bottles of G2....The dogs now do not even want to go out. It was 102 on the Course. |

| ![]() I walk Teddy every morning at around 8-9AM and it is about 80 degrees. Sure it's hot but the floor is still cool so it's fine. I always take a bottle of water with me just in case.

| ![]() Scooter must be part lizard because he loves the heat. He's used to it so he plays outside every day. I do think if you are not used to the heat it can be dangerous. Hope it cools off for everyone.

| ![]() We have a huge fenced in back yard. Our four little yorkies just love to run and play however in this terrible heat I really watch them. I only allow them outside for no more than 10 minutes at a time every couple of hours. We have a pool and our Max loves to jump in about a million times to retrieve his ball and swims to the steps. However it is still to hot even for him so when I go out to the pool in the afternoons I have to inch my way out to the deck without little dogs who don't understand where Mom is going and why it is so hot! They hate cold wheather and also very hot wheather. We really watch them so carefully here in the heat. ![]() |

YT Addict | ![]() Another Texas here going on 19 days of straight 100 degree weather here, poor Gizmo has been on house arrest for at least 3 weeks now and I sure do miss our daily walks down our road. He is almost 5 yrs old so has been potty pad trained from the beginning since I got him in the winter months and could not take him out in the cold. So for now he just goes out with me when I run errands and I take him to my local thrift store to walk around just to get him out for a bit. Gosh I would give anything for just a little rain, even though Gizmo would still not be able to go out at least it would cool things down. Cynthia ![]() ![]() ![]()
