I can't take it. If I try to walk early or late to beat the heat I get eaten alive!
I feel like I did when I was a kid and count all the bites... I am up to over 100...not a joke!! 
My dh has been walking the pack, he doesn't seam to get bitten as much as I do. Yesterday I must have had 50 mosquitoes on my feet. ugh!!!! I can just imagine how I looked.. hopping-- slapping at the dam things |
WOW... I continue to feel like I almost in a different country rather than a different state. Since we are in walk on our really hot days after dark (and always carry water & bowl for the dogs even if only going around our block!) but we had to stop that several weeks back. With the drought here, the mosquitos are definitely NOT our problem. The last walk we took at night here we had no less than 4
BATS swoop down a bit too close for comfort while they are
trying to find mosquitos to eat. Our subdivision lake is drying up and I know it must be wrecking havoc on the fish and ducks!
It is just so horrible to be sitting here praying for rain and then watching the news and seeing the devastating flooding and extreme heat indexes across most of the nation.
