| One of our babies is in the Emergency Vets Hosp. Our Ceasar possible has pancreatitis...he was vomitting for almost a day and not eating or drinking at alll so my husband & I took him to the emergency vets...they did bloodworks and x-ray..and they said possible pancreatitis...they are keeping him overnight...Intravenous fluid and antivomitting medications are being given...they might do ultrasound tomorrow...we are so stressed right now...has anyone ever had this problem with their babies? Maybe someone could relate to this emergency... |

| Oh my god Rochelle, I am so worried about him! What started it? Is it something that is contagious? I was wondering why you guys weren't at the meetup today. Please keep me posted.

The good part is he IS in the ER and they can control his fluids and maybe find out what's causing him to be so sick - you must be out of your mind !! I am so sorry and hope they can get him better FAST and he comes home soon where he should be....GOOD LUCK ...you have our prayers ! |

| I'm so sorry. Usually they have diahhrea if they have that. Hopefully your little one just had a rough spot. Pancreatitis can be treated easily with medication and depending on the kind, hopefully it is just something that pops up occasionally giving them problems. It is easily treatable, so don't feel too bad.

| My girlfriend's little poodle had (or is it has?) pancreatitis a month or so ago. She was at the vets for 3 or 4 days. She is older and has diabetes(sp) too, so they probably kept her a little longer than most. For the diabetes they needed to keep her blood sugar up, but for the pancreatitis they needed to starve her. I'm not sure if it was for testing or treatment purposes. Evidently she was getting too much people food, so now she has a specific diet and is doing okay. I'll give my gf a call today and find out more details for you....
