$1800? His parents must both be grand Champions. Buy the breeder first, then the pup. Sorry she is screwing you and you are not even in bed to enjoy it. | |

| HE HAS NO HEALTH PROBLEMS!!! HE WAS THE RUNT OF THE LITTLER!!! My veterinary has checked him all over and he has had all genetics testing completed . He is in GREAT HEALTH. How many of you are professional veterinaries that are saying don’t breed him ? I just don’t think you understand what I meant by “sick”. I took care of him as such his mother would I bottle fed him, ect. I agree im being royally screwed! |

Bottom line, you can pitch a fit, but no breeder is required to give you an open registration. I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the reason you've chosen to come to YT with this is to try and leverage some public opinion against the breeder in hopes that she'll cave and give you what you want.

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | From the AKC: Dogs Sold Without Papers The buyer of an AKC-registrable dog should obtain the dog's AKC papers from the seller at the same time the dog is purchased. If a dog is delivered or sold with the understanding that AKC papers will not be furnished, the buyer should sign a statement agreeing to this condition. This agreement should be kept in the seller's records. If a person acquires a dog without papers, with the explicit understanding that papers will be furnished for payment of an additional amount of money, the buyer has, in effect, forfeited any rights to the papers. If at some later date the buyer wants papers, the AKC can only advise going back to the seller to resolve the matter. And... The decision as to whether or not a dog will be registered with limited registration is left solely to the litter owner(s). Limited registration is a tool with which the litter owner(s) can protect their breeding program. We would strongly recommend that if a dog is being sold with limited registration that the litter owner(s) make this condition clear to the potential dog buyer(s) so that there is no confusion about the terms under which the dog was purchased. If breeders provide a written bill of sale in addition to the registration application form, we would urge that the bill of sale include the fact that the dog is being sold with limited registration and that the buyer acknowledges in writing that the dog is being accepted with that condition. As I stated in a previous post, it shocks me that someone who fancies themselves a hobby breeder would undertake a situation like this without having everything in writing to avoid a he said/she said situation down the line.

| Rhetts mama -when you become a veterinary then you can determine all of that until then id appreciate if you did not post on my threads anymore. Thanks! Her name is already on this website with a bad reputation, thats how i found it in the first place. she is located in ohio and I'm sure you have all heard of her before. Shes a Greeder instead of a breeder like others have said. All of her dogs are kept in a small building behind her house and are not well groomed, or socialized . I had NO KNOWLEDGE of all of this until I took the puppy from her.I felt sorry him not this backyard breeder |

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Only if she has papers on him. She was not under ANY obligation to register him. And once again if he is registered, she's under NO obligation to give you breeding rights to him. I'm sorry that's such a difficult concept for you to understand. Hobby breeder my patootie. More like BYB. The word is veterinarian, not veterinary, BTW. One has to question the ethics of someone who would want to breed a dog that they state came from such bad conditions...oh yes, that's right a BYB wouldn't care.

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I think you've also missed the fact that this is a public board. As such, anyone can post on any thread. If my posts bother you that much, I suggest you go to the control panel and put me on your "ignore list". It won't bother me in the least.

| Sat on my hands...Ahh f*** it.. It doesn't take a genius to see that your baby has come from someone that's obviously a crappy breeder. So, why would you risk breeding him if he possbily has a shakey past? I mean, what "decent" breeder would randomly give someone a 3 week old puppy to take care of?? This story has way too many holes in it, but anywho... So, this is where common sense should kick in. Now, I'm not "veterinary" as you say, however it's common knowledge if you have no idea where your stud came from and you want to "take pride" in your line and even consierder yourself reputible, why would you even gamble on breeding a pup who came from such a shady past.. By the way, if you saw on here that she was a bad breeder by our YT standards, why did you go to her? On that note, if you are attempting to be a BYB which is kind of seems, you know one BYB getting screwed by another BYB oh the irony. There is a women in Jackson, MI that I'm sure can tell you how to attempt to fraud AKC registration. ![]()

| OP, you're a breeder right? When you register a litter, do you get to decide whether or not the pups your selling can have open registration? If you decide that the registered pup is going to go on limited registration, can an owner overturn this decision? It sounds to me that if you do win, and the breeder is forced to give you his registration papers, she still has the right to deny you open registration. Is that correct? I've been wondering, and I'm sorry if you already answered this question, how old is the pup now? I feel so bad for this pup. It sounds like the original breeder threw him away at 3 weeks because he wasn't good enough.
