If she opted to not register any of the pups, then there is nothing you can do to force her to do it. Even if she does have them registered, there is nothing you can do to force her to sell on an open registration.

I would also question the breeding stock of anyone who is willing to let dogs go for $500.00. You can be assured that she's cut corners in her breeding program, so why would you want to take the chance of adding that to your stock?

BTW, people pay $500 dollars for paperless dogs every day. Those people are called pet owners.

I'm sorry, but I feel from your posts that you feel entitled to have him on open registration because you "saved" him. As for his vet bills, that's what you get when you take on a dog. Any vet bills become your responsibility without a specific contract, and even then, only for certain conditions. Per your own posts, you said the agreement was for her to sell the dog and give you $500 or you could keep the dog. In no way does that imply a promise of an open registration.
He should NOT be bred, please neuter him and just enjoy him as a pet. He barely survived and you're planning on breeding him??

I would say, "Hey, what are you talking about....this is a pup from my own dogs.!! I owe you NOTHING!! Go to court? I don't think so, over something like this...she is not going to want her name tarnished or court costs. There is nothing on paper. As far as it looks anyway, she GAVE the dog to you. If it ever did come to court, it would be thrown out. I think you could make her give you money if it came down to that. She sold the others for $500. and you paid significantly more saving his life! Just my thoughts. She doesn't have a leg to stand on.
This doesn't make sense...if the OP decides to keep the dog, the breeder isn't asking for anything. It's because the OP wants papers that led the breeder (more like a greeder!) to pull what she's pulling. Going to court won't make a difference, she's not asking money for the dog, but for his papers. Again, I'd suggest that the OP neuter him when he gets old enough and enjoy him as a pet.
